Just a heads up - If you liked the World Cup, the English Premier League starts on Saturday and the kickoff is at 7:30 AM Eastern on ESPN2 as Manchester City travel to West London to take on Tottenham Hotspur.

The league is a 38 game round robin so there's less of a defensive mentality compared to the World Cup because if you make a mistake, you've got 37 more games to make up for it.

It should be a doozy, but if it's not, you'll know 15 minutes in. If you liked the World Cup, you'll like this

Come on, City!
Come on, City!
Come on, City!

College football would be wise to study how this league is structured.

7 game home and home. . . would be awesome

. . . and USC would have just gotten double relegation

I'm not sure if I enjoyed the World Cup enough that I'm wanting to watch soccer or if it's my kids getting more and more into but whatever it is I've enjoyed it. I wached a part of the LA vs Seattle game the other day.

ESPN2 has a good match on now. One of the few pluses of your kid(s) getting you up at 7a on a saturday.
