I?m no prude or anything, but I wonder if anyone noticed the following two things this week:

First, this news item from Wednesday:

?WASHINGTON - (Associated Press) - A government crackdown on indecent programming resulted in a proposed fine of $3.6 million against dozens of CBS stations and affiliates on Wednesday ? a record penalty from the FCC.?

Second, if anyone noticed this, then I wonder if anyone also noticed the two ?naughty? adult-themed references in promo spots that CBS has been running during their March Madness TV coverage:

Promo #1
Hot Woman: (to Charlie Sheen) A fancy beach house works on a lot of women, doesn?t it?
Charlie: Honestly, its like a ?G? Spot with two mortgages.

Promo #2
Julia Louis Dreyfus: I am not getting one of those Brazilian Waxes. It looks like a hair arrow pointing at my C-section scar.

These promos ran hour after hour during the Tournament coverage.

Question: Is it me, or does it look like CBS is really pushing the edge of the envelope on risqu? subject matter? Its like they're not going to let the FCC have the last word.

I don?t have any young kids in my house watching the Tournament coverage with me, but I just wonder how the MadJack Dads out there cope with this stuff.

I don't know about envelopes being pushed, but those are pretty funny.

I don't think they are awful, but I also don't feel they are appropriate for daytime television. With that being said, has anyone seen a soap opera lately? Those things are simply soft core porn with a bit of very odd sci-fi mixed in. How in the **** do people watch those?

As regards to this post, I would not want my children hearing those things. I could somewhat control allowing them to watch the shows or not, but the commercials being on during the bball tourney is probably wrong.
