there`s a new sheriff in tow.....THUNDERBOX FISTFUL `O DOLLARS...........with an announcer named "discombobulatin` jones" and sideline reporter "smitty smith",what more could you want....rappin`,strippers posin` as dancers.....hip hop,schnick scnack.........only one word can describe this incredible evening of entertainment

I must say I read your post twice I have no idea what you're talking about, but anyway....

I went to a fight night once at the armory in Reisterstown. They were putting on ESPN Friday Night Fights. This was 2 or 3 years ago. Anyway, the ring announcer was none other than DISCOMBOBULATIN' JONES.

He was a black guy dressed in a tux with, basically, a priest's collar on with an "african pattern" on it. He looked like a Nation of Islam guy. He was good, but maybe not as good as his name would warrant.

So, what is THUNDERBOX FISTFUL `O DOLLARS. Is it a boxing program?

.....you`re lucky....it was a heavyweight tourney with 8 has beens(or never was`) fighting for $100,000.......it was the old toughman format(3 rounds-single elimination).....it had a hip-hop intermission fraught with lousy rappers,ugly strippers,and as i said,discombobulatin` jones and smitty smith....sort of a ghetto-trailer park disneyland aimed at wrassling fans more than boxing fans...tim witherspoon and jeremy williams were the notables..the only thing you missed was a good belly-laugh......suffice to say,a train wreck.....i`ve been out to the pikesville armory several times myself...used to go down to the steelworkers hall for the bouts down there...g.l.
