2009 CFB:
Reg season +6.36 units
Bowl season no plays (quit posting after 12/5)
2008 CFB: -- (unit size increased 2.5 x's after 2007)
Reg season +10.11 units
Bowl season +22.2 units
2007 CFB:
Reg season +35.5 units
Bowl season +12.6 units
2006 CFB:
Reg season +28.3 units
Went to go back and check record from last year and realized I quit posting after weekend of 12/3 - 12/5 -- was up $$ on the year but had some ENORMOUS swings on games where I had the $$ line for big plays only to have my teams blow late leads and lose in OT (Zona vs Oregon, Arky vs LSU) -- remembering now that I wasn't done playing at that point but was pretty much done posting for sure, and that happens for me
Switched my posting/playing style after 2007 and had my best overall year in 2008 - doing it again as I am trying to flatten out my units per game as much as possible - doubling my unit size (5x) so basically a 1 unit play this year will be the same $ size play as a 2 unit play last year, and going to try to start off making everything for exactly 1 unit - guess we'll see how long that will work for me...........also getting -108 on juice so will represent that as well
So anyway, without further adieu....

For thursday:
1 unit MTSU/Minn over 48.5 -108
Minn returning the bulk of an offense that was pretty decent at times, lackluster at others, but I think that against a Sun Belt defense, (even one of the better ones), they will be able to move the ball effectively, both on the ground as they return all 5 O-linemen and through the air w/ a pretty decent Sr qb in Weber - problem for Minn looks to be on D as only 2 starters return and 4 of top 13 tacklers are gone - I know QB Dasher is not playing but I expect the MTSU offense to have success as well - 4 of 5 return on O-line and QB Kilgore reportedly played well in Spring - been looking at this total for a while now and not going to let the Dasher suspension move me off, esp considering that the total is now a full TD less than the opening line
1 unit Utah -3 -108
Was sort of blown away when I looked at the opening lines and found that Pitt, who I have heard about a LOT this offseason on national radio and TV, was an underdog against the Utes - automatically I leaned to Utah, and research has not backed me off of that position - Pitt w/ ?'s at QB and on the O-line - D looks good but must replace both D tackles, and I believe the veteran Utah O-line will cause problems for interior of Pitt D-line - Utah D loses a lot but the D-line returns 3 of 4 and looks to be a strong unit, and hopefully that will help them slow down Pitt rushing attack led by pre-season AA Dion Lewis - Utes also look to have added some athleticism among the newcomers at the LB position, with a highly touted Fr starting at MLB and a former highly touted QB starting on the strong side - looks like the weak spot will be in the 2ndary for the Utes, but before I believe that the new passing game for Pitt will be able to make a difference I will have to see it with my own eyes - also, and perhaps most importantly, I believe Utah will be prepared and ready to play as Kyle Whittingham etc appear to be one of the best staffs in the nation - not sure I can say the same for the 'Stache and his associates
Played one Sat as well:
1 unit LSU -3 -133
bought this one down from 3.5 as I started to see 4.5's and 5's out there and knew I would be able to buy back for a big middle opp, albeit with expensive juice - let me say that I ABSOLUTELY LOATHE!!!!! Les Miles but I think the Tiger team that he is bringing to the ATL will surprise some despite his incompetence - there will be superior athleticism all over the field for the Tigers and despite the fact that LSU loses a lot of Seniors from last year squad there may be a bit of addition by subtraction going on - also, thinking that the addition of a couple of new coaches on Miles' staff may make an impact in the organization of the program - UNC meanwhile is super-talented on D and really not bad on O, but is obviously dealing with more than football right now - loss of Austin is big and I'm hoping for more suspensions as I am now locked in at -3 -- like I said I am potentially set up for a nice middle here no matter what so I am going to let everything play out and make a decision from there later this week
OK, well there you have it - as you can probably tell from the longish write-ups I am really ready for another season of CFB - hoping everyone has a great start to the season and I hope I am ready to come out :box2:
And as always, good luck no matter which sides you choose in this opening week of 2010 CFB
