My play: Winnipeg +12.5

Winnipeg is coming off the most statistically lopsided loss of the CFL season so far in a 47-25 loss in Montreal last Saturday. The Bombers were behind 42-10 at the half and were out-yarded 507-110! That statistic is somewhat misleading in that all three Winnipeg TDs came from returns, which kept their offense off the field.

I think many expect BC to rebound in a big way after losing straight up to Calgary as a 12-point favorite last week. BC had won a club record 8 games in a row prior to that game. A similar scenario occurred earlier this season when Montreal lost their first game of the season (after 6 wins) to BC as an 8.5-point favorite then returned home to face Saskatchewan as a 12-point favorite. They escaped with a 4-point win but many expected them to destroy the Riders.

Winnipeg is 2-5 on the road but should be improved with the addition of Fleming on the DL alongside Canada. This should make an improving Winnipeg pass rush even better. Currently, Winnipeg is ranked last in the CFL in QB sacks.

After Edmonton?s loss last night to Hamilton, BC can clinch first place in the West with a win but I think Winnipeg is just as motivated and can keep this one close. BC is also 0-3 ATS as a double-digit favorite this season?for what it?s worth.
