Well... here we go again!! :spotting:

Last years record: YTD 79-79 +8.38

Looking on improving that this year....

This years goal is to be up +20 units by the end of the year... that is an avg of 1 unit per week + 1 for the playoffs.....
Will try and keep the plays between 1-3 units..... Depending on how things go that could change :p

Anyways this year there have been quite a few changes around the league..... but as usual the West is tough and the East is weak..... Heres my predictions on how they will finish:

EAST
1. Montreal - No more Phillips or Pringle in the backfield will make Calvillo happy.... with Phillips and Pringle wanting so many touches it limited his passing a little.... with neither of them around look for Calvillo to throw it all the time now..... they will miss Woodcock, Stokes and Haskins at Reciever.... but Cahoon and Copeland will have to step it up.... On D they have all their starters back except for Reid... so should still be solid there! A possible slow start to playing so many WEST teams early... but will roll thru the 2nd half against the EAST....

2. Toronto - Toronto should be a pretty good team this year and possibly challenge for 1st in the East.... the problem last year was that they had no #1 QB.... Now they have Allen... he is getting older but has the experience and can still play... I think the change of a new team will help him.... things had become stale in BC.... he also has a wide array of weapons at his disposal such as his main man from BC. Alfred Jackson along with Darryl Mitchel, Mike Moreale, Jimmy Oliver and Jenkins at HB.... As long as Allen stays healthy they should compete! Their D should be pretty solid as well... will be interesting to see their new D plans this year which involve rotating confusing blitzes or something along those lines.... LOL

3. Ottawa - Not too much to say here... no MAJOR changes but 1 more year under their belt and they will compete a little more.... interesting note is that they were fairly close in most of their losses last year.... many games decided under 7pts....

4. Hamilton - Talk about trouble..... nore more Flutie or Grigg... They still have McManus.... but who will he be throwing too.... This looks like it will be another tough season for this team.....

Now a look at a very Tough side to predict... the WEST

1. Edmonton - Will be battling Winnipeg for 1st place..... this team could prevail as long as they can keep all the stars happy....this team is stacked..... even by giving up Ray on D they should still be very tough to go against... the additions of Pringle at HB and a great set of Recievers.... geez... can't say enough... Just hope they don't turn in the Rangers of the NHL...

2. Winnipeg - Jones to Stegall TD!! what else is there to say.... LOL I'm sure we'll hear that a ton this year.... If these 2 continue to produce look out... team stayed pretty much the same.... the addition of Ray will help the already great D.....

3. Saskatchewan - 3, 4, 5 are pretty much a toss up..... I'll go with my Riders though.... Main problem last year was injuries... mainly at QB with Greene.... and on the D line Jacobs and Peoples.... If they can stay healthy especially Greene it could be a good year.... I hear lots of negatives about Greene but I think he is a very capable QB when healthy.... they've added Moore at WR which should help and have kept their running game intact which lead the league last season.... Also have kept their DB's which have molded into one of the best secondarys around the league by sticking together for the past few years.... I like the Riders chances this year.... and kinda like the 16-1 odds on them winning the Grey Cup :p (just to let those that don't know.... Sask is my fav team and may be a little biased... but try not to be!!)

4. Calgary - I'm having a tough time reading this team..... loss of Anderson but gain of Phillips at HB.... loss of Moore at WR..... but overall seems like a better team than last year..... I can't judge them yet.... have a pretty good QB with Crandle..

5. B.C. - Dickenson and Anderson are the talk of the town..... but whats up with the O-line.... it is IFFY.... will take some time for them to Gel..... I think BC will really struggle thru the first half of this season..... and will pick it up once its too late....

Now for Week #1....

Montreal -3 @ Calgary O/U 53

I really can't make a play on a side here..... due to my difficulties with Calgary.... I have to watch them play before I can make any decisions on them..... at first glance I would lean towards Montreal -3..... However I agree with others here with the Over 53..... Its the CFL all games go OVER right??? LOL I agree with Cannon that both teams should Pass a lot... especially Montreal.....

MON/CAL OVER 53 -110 1.1 to win 1.0

WIN -3.5 @ BC O/U 51

I am really shocked at this line.... and REALLY want to Pound it.... but will try stay disciplined...... Winnipeg should be atleast -7 here IMO...... they should spank this Lion team.... The Lions will have trouble scoring against Winnipegs D..... as stated above its gonna take a few weeks for BC to get things going..... that O line is really what scares me.... Dickenson will be running for his life...... on the other side Winnipeg will continue from last year and I look for Stegall to pick up his first 2-3 TD's of the season.... and Jones to pick up his 1st 4...... :D

WIN -3.5 -108 3.24 to win 3.0 (MAX PLAY)

Will be back later with other games this week......

funny game...... missed getting on the Als 2nd half by about 10 seconds... didn't hit confirm on time..... and didn't grab the Als at -2.5 when it was there..... waited and waited... and got the push instead....

Over would have had a chance if they kicked the FG instead of trying to play hero and go for the win.... + still hard to believe that the Als were held to 1 pt in the 1st half..... that hurt the Over....

Recap 0-1-1 -1.1

back tomorrow or Thursday for Thursdays game...

Going Greene!

Sask +4 -110 0.55 to win 0.5

Sask ML +161 0.5 to win 0.81

Sask looking for revenge after their season ended in Toronto last year..... Toronto will be missing WR Alfred Jackson.... and RB Jenkins has some mysterious injury that was enough for him to miss the game walk thru yesterday but will play tonight.... Allen still hasn't had much time to Gel with the team......

2nd Half..

Sask -1 0.55 to win 0.5

Sask has been killed by the officials 1st half... same thing happened to Montreal last game... and it turned around in the 2nd.... Sask had a few chances but Greene just missed his target... could have scored a few TD's..... with only 4 pts the Riders should beable to muster up a few more in the 2nd... i'll take them here for +9 for the game...

3=1-1 +0.71 so far...

Love both the games tonight.... won't be around to watch them or make any HT plays.... but to me it seems the lines are a little off on tonights games....

as posted earlier... already have:

WIN -3.5 -108 3.24 to win 3.0

adding WIN -1.5 -110 1st Half 1.1 to win 1.0

On top of everything i've mentioned so far about a possible slow Lions start, they are FILLED with injury's.... including key recievers out.... they will have to rely on Geroy Simon to get it done... but against this Winnipeg D it will be tough.... This one just seems like a total mismatch to me and should be a Routte for Win.... with all the changes in BC their focus is on trying to play better together.... meanwhile not many changes in WIN has allowed them to focus more attention to BC.....

OTT -2 -101 2.02 to win 2.0
OTT -2.5 -110 1.1 to win 1.0

Grabbed OTT -2.5 as soon as it came out... thought the # would rise quickly.... instead it came out lower at other books.... so added another 2 units at the better #..... With QB McManus out for HAM... plus no real threats on Offence anymore... Ham should find it tough finding points against Ottawa....

Thanks Horns!

Ok time to get into the Props!!!

WIN @ BC

Dave Dickenson Under 282.5 -115 Passing Yards 2.3 to win 2.0

Thats quite a high total for a QB that has a banged up Oline and missing some key recievers...... And with Hurst and Anderson in the backfield maybe a little more running.... unless they fall way behind and then go all air.... still a high # to reach.....

Geroy Simon Over 49.5 -115 Recieving Yards 1.15 to win 1.0
This # seems quite low to me.... Simon hasn't had a ton of huge games... but I think he's one of the best they'll have available tonight with the others out... he should get more looks than usual....

Charles Roberts Over 64.5 -115 Yards Rushing 1.15 to win 1.0
Roberts has had great rushing success against BC last year.... and this # is a little on the low side IMO......

Thanks Kickserv.....

Almost a perfect night...... i'm still shocked at this #..... the 1 prop I lost... Dickenson managed 391 passing yards.... even when missing those other recievers..... but as expected Geroy Simon was the man with 157 Recieving yards... just 100 yards over the prop LOL shoulda hit that one harder.... but again still shocked with 391.....

and got lucky on the Roberts prop... covered by 1.5 yards......

Didn't get to watch or tape this game as it was blacked out over here.... wouldn't mind some insight on what happend.... how the heck did he get so many passing yards?? does it look like this will be normal? played from behind?? abandoned the Run??? couple lucky bombs??? any info would be apreciated..

Thanks...

Recap: 6-1 +7.7 units

YTD: 9-2-1 +8.41 units

back tomorrow with some plays..... need some sleep first... been a long night!

Edmonton should win this game.... with revenge on their minds.... Home opener.... and short week for Montreal..... however the -7 and -7.5 is just too steep for me right now.... instead I'll go with a teaser....

EDM -1.5 and MON/EDM Under 57.5 1.1 to win 1.0

along with that heres a few good lookin props!

CALVILLO Over 262.5 Passing Yards -115 2.3 to win 2.0
Horrible week last week and he still passed for about 235 yards..... plus with Lapointe an the Limp less running means more passing (even in the rain)..... plus there should be less rust from Calvillo.... and with a good chance of them falling behind playing catchup = more passing... basically thats a low # for Calvillo!!

COPELAND Over 69.5 Recieving Yards -115 1.15 to win 1.0
Goes along with the first prop.... if Calvillo is throwing COPELAND is one of the main guys to catch it.... he had 77 last week.... lets hope for a similar game this one!

PRINGLE Over 72.5 Rushing yards -140 2.0 to win 1.43
I hate it when I take my time and 1837 beats me to the play and moves the line on me!!! aaarghhh... LOL I liked this play last night but waited on it to think a little more and 1837 moved it.... but even at -140 I will play it for a flat 2 units... agree with everything 1837 said... Pringle will be looking for payback against Montreal which didn't treat him too well with the Phillips situation... plus the rainy day..... slightly tired D...... run, run, run.....
