I really like to put teasers in cfl, mostly at the beginning of the year. Before reading the picks, i have to admit that i'm an alouettes fan. Not a surprise hum?
Here, nothing else than a Grey cup will be accepted. They choke for the last 3 years during the playoff but this year, the Grey Cup is at the Olympic Stadium and it is already almost sold out! Players know their fans bought tickets to see them in the finale and honestly, the Al's are the better team in the CFL. Coach Rod Rust is having a team loaded with talent. However, i see a big ? in their quest for the grey cup:Backup QB is unproven so if Calvillo is seriously injured... It could be the end of that run... The Al's have a great defensive line and will have to protect Calvillo as much as they can. Training camp have hit the team defensively with key injured players such as CB Baron miles and S Lester smith. That is why i will stay away of my team on week 1.
Montreal at Toronto
Al's should win with ease but Toronto isn't bad with long pass and with the key injuries
the Al's have on their defensive, Toronto might put some points as well to keep the spread (-11.5) within range. In addition, Montreal seems to have problem to crush opponents by big margin. They play very often on the opponent level so the spread here seems a bit high. No play for me but if i have to do it, i would lean on Toronto with a tease at +17.
Winnipeg at Calgary
The spread of 60.5 is too tempted when you know Calgary is having two unprovens QB. Offensive takes always more time to gel than defensive at the beginning of the year so the UNDER is the play here. Calgary as a pick (teaser) is another strong play. Calgary has won his last 3 opening games while Winnipeg lost the last 8...
Hamilton at Saskatchewan
I don't understand the line here... Sask underdog at +4? I will take them to win outright! The Riders hadn't give an offensive TD during preseason and guys talked of the importance to emphasize on defense. I like the UNDER too here and Sask +4
Edmonton at BC
that line seems right on target. I'm staying away from that one.
Who win the Grey cup? I pick Montreal IF Calvillo stays healthy.
week 1 picks:
Parlay
Sask +4 and under 60.5 (Calgary- Winnipeg) one unit
Teaser 6 points:
Calgary pick and under 66.5
2 units
Teaser 6.5 points (3 teams)
Sask +10,5

Calgary game under 67
