Here's the opening lines for this week:
Hamilton Tigercats
Edmonton Eskimos -7? 52

Montreal Alouettes -12? 53
Ottawa Renegades

Toronto Argonauts
Calgary Stampeders -3? 50

British Columbia Lions
Winnipeg Blue Bombers -13 51?

YTD 32-26-1

Teaser of the week! Ottawa +18 1/2 with Winnipeg -7
(2 Units) ;)

Winnipeg will crush BC lions and it is the perfect let down for Montreal with their injuries. Ottawa is playing well at home. Expect a closer game than the opening spread

Other play: Edmonton -1 with Calgary +3 (1 unit)

I'm not so sure about B.C. While Winnipeg is much better, teams generally play well for a game or two for a new coach. And Adam Rita is the type of coach that can get Damon Allen going.

Does anyone know if Maas or Ray is starting for Edmonton?

Hi from Edmonton. Just thought I'd let you know this morning's paper quotes Higgins as saying that Ricky Ray will start because Maas's shoulder is not quite ready. Maas may play though, he says.

Thanks for your post and I just saw this as well.

From the Edmonton Journal:

"Eskimos backup quarterback Ricky Ray is expected to make his third CFL start
Wednesday in favour of the injured Jason Maas.

Maas's shoulder is healing, but is not quite ready for him to start against
Hamilton, said head coach Tom Higgins."

But, from the Hamilton Spectator:

"On the Edmonton offence, Lancaster is fully expecting injured
quarterback Jason Maas to start. Maas has sat out the past two games
with a bruised shoulder; and back-up Ricky Ray has gotten the call.

Edmonton head coach Tom Higgins has told his local media that Maas can
start against Hamilton, although Ray took the majority of the snaps at
a Sunday practice."

So who knows what to believe but I guess it's a better bet to go with the opinion of the Edmonton coach rather than the Hamilton one ...

YTD 38-33 +25.05 :spotting:

May be back later for a play or two for tonight.... but a few early props for tomorrow...

Toronto Over 179.5 (-115) yards passing... 3.45 to win 3.0
Mitchell Over 72.5 (-115) recieving yards... 3.45 to win 3.0

Slack is at controlls for Toronto and I believe 179.5 is quite low for Slack... He's had 1 game back and he had 190 in that one.... Should have a little more plays for this week opening things up a little.... and be more in synch with his recievers... The coach allows Slack to throw on 2nd and 10... unlike when Bishop was in there and he would run it everytime....

In line with that you have Mitchell in which he's had two pretty good games in a row.... Toronto is starting to find their GO TO guy.... and I think he'll be Slacks favourite target again....

Love both these plays....

To add fuel to your Toronto prop plays, Calgary is seventh in the league (almost eighth) in defence against the pass. The only team significantly worse than them in this category is Ottawa.

Adding

Edmonton -7 1.1 to win 1.0
Edmonton -3.5 1st half 1.1 to win 1.0
Hamilton Over 264.5 passing 1.15 to win 1.0

Ricky Ray will bounce back tonight and should find it much easier than that Blitzing montreal pass rush.... Hamilton usually falls behind and battles back... therefore a play on Edmonton in the 1st half.... and McManus is always a threat to throw for 300+ yards.... Hamilton loves to throw and will be forced to throw if they fall behind.... therefore the over 264.5 aswell...

Well Edmonton had no prob covering both spreads.... Hamilton was HORRIBLE.... I've never seen Ozzy play so bad... he had maybe 2 good punts and he shafted all the rest.... 1 for 4 yards... Over passing for Hamilton woulda had a shot if they did not pull McManus so early.... they were down but still had lots of time to comeback.... pulled him most likely because they play Sask in a few days.... The two that replaced him were sitting ducks and got sacked or fumbled on basically every play...

That sub killed both our plays 1837...... tough to watch...

2-1 tonight +0.85
2-1 week +0.85
40-34 YTD +25.9
