Lines:

Montreal Alouettes -6 51
British Columbia Lions

Ottawa Renegades
Hamilton Tigercats -7 53?

Edmonton Eskimos -6 49
Toronto Argonauts

Calgary Stampeders
Winnipeg Blue Bombers -4? 52

YTD 42-35-2

My teaser of the week will be BC +12.5 with Winnipeg +2 (2 units)

straight play of the week: BC +6 (1.5 unit)

Why taking BC while Montreal has covered most of their games recently?

Simply because their best receiver (woodcock) won't be playing for the next 3 games and their only good running back left, Lawrence "the Bum" Phillips has left the team (for the second time this year... ) and is suspended for good wich let Montreal WITHOUT ANY RUNNING THREAT!!! Terry will start for Montreal and he hasn't started a game for the last 2 years. BC won't have Woodcock as receiving threat and will have to concentrate on Cahoon and Stokes. Should even win the game straight up or lose by a small margin...

Hawkeye, it's the talk of the day here in Montreal, the "Bum" Phillips who left the team again... What a joke this guy... The latest i've heard is that he left because he wants to be pay more$$$ for his job. 40 000$ isn't enough for him and he wants much more! (I think the guy still thinks he is playing in the NFL with the big money player). He doesn't understand our small market and the small salaries in the CFL i guess...

Interesting situation with Montreal. I wonder if Pringle's injury, Woodcock's injury and now Phillips' departure may actually help to improve team chemistry. With an 8-0 record, you need some external motivation. Add to that their swoon last year, and I feel that this game will be an important turning point for them.

As far as RB's go, they are still just fine. Most teams wouldn't be that unhappy with Eric Lapointe, Thomas Haskins and Jason Terry. They're still very good players. Calvillo is an excellent QB and will take advantage of what's available.

I'm on Mtl as a small RF.

Other thoughts?

Also, I'm expecting better things out of Edmonton's Maas. I think they'll win a low scoring game. Not sure if they can cover 6 though.

And I'm really wondering if Wpg can put it together vs. Cgy. What do others think?

I don't understand the Al's... :( I guess they love to suffer or they are masochist:confused: Latest about Phillips is now the team manager saw him and he is now "welcome" to join the team for this Sunday's game with the Riders... He will be playing the game!!!! How long will they endure that "slap in the face" by Phillips? Throw him away! Get rid of him and stop forgiven him for... sake!!!

Agreed, 1837. A million 2nd chances for Phillips is not going to cut it. That creates a psychological feeling of invulnerability. The guy is flat out a putz. At nebraska, he grabbed a girl by the hair and dragged her down 2 flights of stairs. The guy is a thug and a loser.

BCL - TD, ALFRED JACKSON 109 YD PASS FROM
DAMON ALLEN (MATT KELLETT KICK),
13:33. BC 41-37

48-37 final.

Damn, 109yd TD pass? Does it get any better than the CFL?

1837, looks like the pass yd prop must have gotten there easily.

Much easier than i thought but we just had 2 units on it...:(
We lost the Simom prop so a 2-1 night with one play pending (Calgary +2) so things look good!:) Won't be playing any more games this week because i'm leaving for Montreal for the Cart race and will be back only tomorrow night. Have some drivers to meet...;)
