Nothing like a big hit with UB last night to help stem a losing slide....I realy cant wait until Jan 3, so I can bet UB again.....hopefully, I've unearthed a few winners here and the good times can continue.
ECU +12 over Tulsa.
ECU intrigues me in this one. They were the early season darling, then had a losing streak, but rebounded to get back to the league title game. This was their goal the whole way through and they expect to win this game. HC Holz is 30-19 ATS as a head coach at ECU, but they've failed to cover in eight of their last ten. In most of those games they were significant favorites, a brand new role for Holz' Pirates. Now, they're back as the disrepected, everyone is counting out underdog. They're 16-4 ATS as a dog under Skip. Tulsa is powerful, but remember the bowl game last year when ECU stared down the guns of the explosive Boise outfit. They won 41-38. Boise is a better program than Tulsa. The Canes are highly touted, but I dont think they have the defense it takes to rock and roll and win a title game aginst a good foe in blowout fashion.
Navy -10 over Army.
The Cadets will scrap, for sure. They might even keep it close for awhile. but eventually the +26 difference in turnover margin in favor of Navy will rear its head. Navy will get their triple option rolling by the second half and the defense, which has had little trouble with Army in recent years, will shut them down after half. Navy pulls away 31-13.
VT +1 over BC.
Its weird that I trust Tyrod Taylor, Sean Glennon and even TE Greg Boone (when he's back there) in the QB battle today over BC's signal caller. I also dont think you want to give Bud Foster or the VT special teams a second chance at you in one season. We saw the rematch last year and I dont think we'll see anything different today. I think VT is playing more physical and confident on defense right now than they were when they played BC back in October. They were still in transition a bit back then, but I feel they've found themselves now and will get a measure of revenge against BC.
UConn -2 over Pitt.
Edsall > Wannstedt. On many levels, its a simple as that. Intangibles favor Uconn as they ought to be more fresh in this one coming off a bye while Pitt might still be high fiving each other their back yard brawl win. Huskies are 16-6 ATS at Rensellear Stadium.
Good Luck!!! :weed:
