I really liked the Vendue Inn. You can walk to many places. If you do not stay there at least go visit the rooftop bar at sundown. Take a day trip to James Island.

Who's visited? Things to see and do? Where to stay?

Been 3 times. The last two visits have included the oak steakhouse and it's the best restaurant I have ever had the pleasure of eating at. The last time there, I ordered a bottle of Pinot without looking at the price. Fucking big mistake. I felt very foolish when I got the bill.

They have amazing dishes and I suppose, one of the best chefs in Charelston. I can almost remember bites of food.

Last time i was in New Orleans a vendor of mine invited me and my wife and 5 other customers of his to dinner at Emril?s. He was picking up the check? an hour of drinks and introductions first followed by dinner and 6 bottles of wine. The guy claimed to know wine but when presented with the 800 bottle wine list, he deferred to the sommelier.
3 bottles of French Pinot noir from ?83 and 3 California cabs later and every one had enjoyed an amazing dinner.
When they brought the check Tom asked if anyone wanted to guess how much the check was. A few guessed 600-800 and I said the wine alone was 1000-1200 so I guessed 1700. The check? before a tip, was 1740.
Never seen the color drain out of a guys face that fast before? or since :mj07:

On my list of places to eat. We are foodies and this is the kind of place my wife loves to dine at.
