Charlie Krauthammer, an economic moderate/conservative and a social liberal, is the guy who coined "Bush Doctrine.

Great article demonstrating that the definition has been changed 4 times and that Gibson, in all his condescension and sighing, did not get it right.

What a joke. Watching this guy grill Palin and Stephanoupolous lob softballs on the same network to Obama:nono: :nono: :nono:

Who cares? What's your point? Did she impress you or didn't she? Bush has no doctrine. He is the worst foreign policy president ever. That's all she had to say. This question is not going to sink Sarah Palin.

The reality is nothing realistically is gonna sink Sarah Palin. Debating all of these questions makes good fodder but means little to nothing about the election - for better or worse.

The Dems have made an enormous mistake going after her...they have forgotten that the race is about Obama and McCain and it is costing them dearly. The "Palin Strategy" - whether by Obama or mostly by his surrogates and the media - is demonstrably hurting more than helping.

The media is after her because she has not been vetted. Mc Cain is an open book and that's boring. Biden is also a bore that everyone knows everything about. I am not comfortable with her being president if a 72 year old man dies in office. I still lean towards him because Obama wants to take over health care and raise my taxes but this was an ignorant choice

Completley wrong Roger. Nobody takes a VP to be a good President in case they croak. They pick somebody they think can help them win. You have seen the polls havent you? The numbers thus far show her as the best VP pick in history.

Whether or not a VP choice would make a good President has never been part of the thinking.

One can fairly debate the prudence of such things, but thats the way that it is.

it was theater...a hit job....it was a 'gotcha' moment with no right answer....

when the answer to a question has five possible answers and the person asking it doesn't know four of them, little good is going to come out of it.....

Sun, unfortunately you are probably right. That is a shame but I have a hard time arguing that one. Only important difference is the burden should be greater on a 72 year old to pick his potential successor. But based on the polls, he stole the momentum big time.

What a joke. I love how neocons are all running around saying how "The Dems are making a big mistake going after Palin. It'll backfire on them!"

Laughable.

This is coming from the party that invented dirty politics. The Rebs believe EVERYTHING is fair game when it comes to attacking their opponents and it's EXACTLY why they've won 7 of the last 10 elections.

If the Dems are gullible enough to buy into these phony objections coming from the right, they'll lose this election. If they hit the Rebs with EVERYTHING they've got, they'll win it.

Obama and Axelrod are both smart guys and they know the road to the Whitehouse is beating the Rebs at their own game. So you neocons can object all you want to hardball politics, but if the Dems are smart, they'll beat the Rebs into submission with their own stick.

The fact that she doen't know what the bush doctrine is, is only 1/2 as bad as the voters that don't care.... the right could put charlie manson on the ticket and the same people that would vote for palin would chose charlie over Obama.... I may be wrong but that voting block won't affect this election.... We are at war and she doesn't know ??????? God bless America ! She talks about Gods plan for America..... I don't think she is in it..... This woman believes in creation ? I'm not sure Obama can win....he's not white & he's intellectually superior to 95% of the people in the world.... we don't want a person that is uniquely qualified as a leader because of his intellect & temperment..... If you want to know what the bush doctrine is.... it's the reason we are in iraq...it's flawed thinking by the dumb ass we put in the white house the last two times..... I don't disagree with the doctrine..... there is some grey area there......it requires intellectual ability and the right temperment......there lies the flaw.......can anyone imagine if Palin did that same interview and she was a democrat.... what if she was a black democrat ???? a black woman couldn't get away with being that stupid in America.. For Obama to get to where he is, he had to be better and smarter than most.....DTB is right, we vote for the person we identify with.......some of America identifed with bush.....the second time.....SAD.......we tryed the average joe blow & he blows...............if the democrats want to prove a point...... vote for Mr clean & the hockey mom......maybe 1/2 of America will wake up then .......the last two elections were so close... I just think, seeing what we have seen the last 8yrs... There has to be enough smart Americans out there willing to take the white house away from the republican party.... the democrats are not much better but we have to take the power away from the right.... Obama is the smart guy....he will put the right people around him and we will move in the right direction............GUESS WHO WILL BE THE POINT MAN FOR THE MCCAIN TRANSITION TEAM IF THEY WIN ?? Same guy that led the team for 43 in 2000.....same guy that led the team that wasn't ready on 911......... this guy is the insiders insider... BIG OIL LOBBYIST..... WILLIAM E TIMMONS SR.....THIS GUY IS GOING TO BE THE POINT MAN FOR CHANGE ???? You can't make this shit up..... If the democrats can't (KO) this group, they should close the party down.....

or at least get rid of the leadership and run candidates that are at least centrists. Howard Dean, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Al Gore, Reverend _______ etc. Can a moderate Democrat please stand up? My grandfather has already rolled over in his grave I know at least 10 times since he passed in 1990. He was a staunch Democrat, but I really don't know if he could have stomached the party now. Pathetic.

Hasn't been a dem party since Soros stasrted funding the liberal blogs. You got far left minority running the show and their token "what can you give base" following in step.

--sad thing is -it is inevitable they will have majority at some point in time.

Within a decade you will have 50% of population paying no taxes--already 40 million.

You think their sancuary cities for illegals isn't trying to get another 80% base.

Only thing that will save U.S. from having a complete socialitic state--will be increase in state powers.

Consider this for a moment--
States make their own laws voted on by their citizens--

You'd then have all the illegals--aunt jimmy and uncle joes-ghettos-pinkies-protestors confinded to a few states--and let these "genius's" live with their convictions--:)

you cry about what a small segment, with no power has done to america....... does the majority bare any responsibility ? what about the people with power and money that perpetuate and allow the distruction of America? Talk about whining .. every problem in America is a non white problem right..... Why don't you just come out and say it.. I can see your point about the left but the same can be said about the right... we have a far right minority running the show... giving away Americas wealth to corporation and policies that make our foreign enemies rich from American blood and sweat.... If ****ing idiots like you are so smart.... what happened ???? how did you let the power slip away.... Why don't we go back to only white men can own property and can vote.... would that make you happy ??? why do you live in america ???? you don't value the spirit of American...do you people ever take resposibility for ANYTHING OR DO YOU JUST WHINE ??? you want 8 more yrs... I hope you get it... YOU deserve it !............ most of your post are not for this century

If you have any children at home have them explain the diff between legal and illegal immigrants to you--apparently you haven't a clue

In addition it was built on legal immigrants with history of hard work.

--or maybe you can point out all the german-french-japenses etc getto's here--ya I know --your speachless--AGAIN

it's actually kind of hilarious.....if traditional democrats want their kind of candidate, they have him....his name is John McCain.

The dems have become a party that puts up extremely liberal candidates backed by left wing nut jobs who are socialists.....the reps have put up candidates who are more centrists than conservative/libertarian.

Its funny how the right tries to keep moving the middle more and more to the right and make moderates look like crazy leftists.

???

Anyhow, listening to the nut cases around here, give me one reason (other than the fact that they are dead and not US citizens) why Hitler and Goering with their platform in the 30's couldn't get nominated to the Republican ticket in 08?

Eddie? Some make the argument that many of Hitler?s policies were leftist and grounded in Marxism. While his anti-capitalistic economic policies, pro-abortion and pro-gun control stands would appear to be leftist on the surface, I would argue those policies merely furthered his autocratic regime and ambitions to create the ?Third Reich?.
