During today's sentencing George Floyd's brother Terrence Floyd ask Chauvin Why? My guess it's because:

#1-George Floyd Broke The Law.
#2-He Resisted Arrest.

My opinion here is chauvin had a history of being rough with perps and he caused Floyd?s death. Yes, floyd is a career criminal and he did indeed resist per the video while apparently under the influence per media reports, but that doesn?t absolve him. He deserved conviction.

But, I don?t see evidence of how this is a racially motivated crime. Is there anything besides killer being white that points to racism here?

Floyd should have been in jail for sticking a knife in pregnant women?s belly during armed robbery.
Before getting placed on the ground and having knee on a neck Floyd was complaining of not being able to breathe. They quickly suppressed the one autopsy report that the drugs were a factor. Nonetheless I have no problem with the cop serving 20 plus years w no parole. I do hope we stop with all of the statues of Floyd. George was a criminal.

I have yet to hear a single person that I know back the policeman who killed Floyd.

But, I understand where you?re coming from. My take on resisting/fighting cops and fleeing cops and reaching into your car while they are attempting to detain you lawfully is a bad idea, and unfortunately, it is a dangerous idea. So, while hi I am wholeheartedly against chauvin in this scenario, I have been supportive of some of the other widely publicized officers who killed civilians the past few years. I don?t mean supportive in that that I approve of them killing anyone, but when people reach their hands out of view during a tense and volatile situation such as an attempted apprehension, it increases risk of being shot by a good man in a fight/flight situation.
