This is Mike Volpe. As owner of Brand X Sports,
I always made sure to keep my personal life and
business life separate.
After Tuesday September 11, 2001, that is no
longer possible.
My friend, Tom Dennis, who worked for the bond
firm of Cantor Fitzgerald in One Trade Center is
missing and presumed lost. Tom and I have been
friends since we met in eighth grade in 1971. We
spent our entire teen and adult lives together,
were in each other's wedding parties and a share a
base of friends and family that stretch back more
than thirty years. Tom has left his wife, Kathy, also
a friend since childhood, and two small children,
Lauren six years old and Tom Jr., four years old.
One World Trade Center was the only United States
based office of Cantor Fitzgerald. As of 1 PM ET
Thursday, 900 of the 1000 employees of the company
are reported missing. Due to the total devastation
of Cantor Fitzgerald, Tom's insurance through the
company may be in jeopardy.
I am asking for your help. I will release a full
year of my service,from September 11, 2001 to
September 11, 2002, of my 900 line games,Late Service
and Wise Guy service in ALL SPORTS, well over
$20,000 worth of picks, in return for a $25 donation
to the Tom Dennis Fund.
ALL of the moneys received between today and
September 19 will go directly to Kathy Dennis.
For those of you who do not wager on sports, all
donations will be appreciated. I will be glad to
give the picks to anyone you might want to suggest
in your stead.
