Any stats out there on a Monday Night dog being an outright winner then the following week going on the road posted as the favorite? I can't think of a situation such as this comming up for quite a while and wondered if anyone can dig a little and come up with the percentages as I believe it to be a very good situational play.

I know this situation is very rare but if I remember correctly, playing the underdog (Det) in this case, has a very good chance at winning.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Since '89...

...road team (Chic) is 10-4 SU (Av. win 5.7)...
...8-6 ats...
...9-4-1 over (Av. total 37.8...av. score 44.2)

Last game was 2006, Philli beat Wash 21-19 (-1.5).

Thanks Mr. Christo for the response.

Are you reffering to just the Bears or all teams that have been in this situation since 89? And, are you saying that a team coming off a win as an underdog on Monday posted as a favorite on the road the next week has covered more than not?

Thanks in advance

All teams (not just Chic)...and yeah, they've covered 8 of 14 times...

...definately not a reason to play against them. :D

...in fact, all teams are 2-0 ats as a road fav off an OT on Monday night, so that clearly isn't a factor either.

You're a brave man looking for excuses to play on Detroit. :142smilie

Mr.Christo,

I guess I could have been wrong with my recollection but doesn't that line look a bit low in your opinion?

Yeah, AS, the line does look a little weird...

...it's just the 2nd time ALL SEASON that Det are 'dogs of less than 9!! :scared

I guess the Bears being just 1-6 on the road my have something to do with it, but they sure have had a tough schedule.

Played 3 of the top 4 D's on the road!!...
...5 of the top 14 for scores allowed...
...have only played 1 team worse than 18th for scoring against and won @ Seattle. [26th]

Det are 31st in total D and 32nd for scoring allowed.

Hester will play, I reckon the Bears score big. JMHO.

If I can get a 44 I might try the over I think. ;)
