I cannot find a book here in the UK offering prices, but if any one wants to wager on this event I feel there are 2 solid plays.

Play1 Paula Radcliffe. She is in the best form that she's ever been in and she will dominate this event for the next 4 or so years.

Play2 Paula Radcliffe to beat the world record. She holds the second fastest time in the world of 2 hours 18 minutes and 56 secs. This is only 9 seconds slower than the worlds best. They say London is the fastest course but this is nonsense. Chicago is flater infact it's as flat as a pancake. The only thing that can stop this recoerd is the weather. High winds in the windy city are forecast, but those who are local can perhaps advise weather on the day on event.

To those who want to play good luck

I managed to find two books in the UK that priced the event but prices only available from Sunday morning.
William Hill was the best price for Radcliffe to win @ 4/6. I helped myself to a 5 unit stake.
I telephoned Hills for a special price for a worlds best time to be recorded. They e-mailed several hours later offering 8/1 which they informed me was the price with several US books. I could not believe the price so I staked a further 2 units and then sat back and enjoyed all 2 hours 17 minutes and 17 seconds.
Believe me when I say this girl is untouchable over this gruelling race. She beat the best the African's had to offer last April in London, now the remainder, accept the southern hemisphere, were put soundly in their place.
Radcliffe smashed, and I mean smashed the world record by 90 seconds. That equates to 450metres of a track.
At least the Chicago Tribune will be made to eat their words when they mocked her style of running and her stance taken against drugs in athletics.
A very profitable day (which makes up for earlier bets) with a profit of 19.33 points.
