Matchup plays (1.5pts unless stated):

Rosie Jones to beat Hee-Won Han -111 @ Centrebet [3pts]
Han has really struggled this year, missing two cuts in five starts with no top-10 finishes. The only time she finished ahead of Jones was in the opening event before Jones made her famous announcement. With the American having a decent record on this course since it was first used in 1995, she should post yet another top-15 finish this week, which will be more than enough to beat Han.

Cristie Kerr to beat Aree Song -154 @ NordicBet
Song has been a little disappointing in her last two events and faces a initial handicap from a poor draw - she is in the very last group out in the first round. Kerr has threatened to win a couple of times this season and did so in style in the last Tour events two weeks ago. With a week's rest after that victory, she should be a strong contender again this week.

Catriona Matthew to beat Stacy Prammanasudh -110 @ SkyBet
Siding with experience and a player renowned for consistently high finishes even though she has found closing out events when in the lead rather tough. Her consistency makes her ideal for match bets and that is something that Prammanasudh has yet to achieve.

Outright play (1.5pts):

Lorena Ochoa to win 20/1 e.w. @ SkyBet and Paddy Power
Lived up to her promise in the first few months of last season and is doing so again this year. She has finished 3rd, 8th and 8th in her last three starts and it is surely only a matter of time before she gains that first Tour victory. A closing 66 last year showed that she can master this course and she certainly shouldn't be too far from a top-5 place. Stan James and Centrebet offer 25/1, but only four places.

Waiting to see if Five Dimes will post top-5 lines before adding any more selections ...

Adding (1.5pts):

Michele Redman to finish in the top-five 10/1 @ Five Dimes
Can't see either of these two beating Sorenstam, Pak and Park so opting for the top-5 market instead. Redman had been very steady this year, finishing no worse than 22nd in five starts. Her form has also been solid on this course with two top-15 finishes in her last three visits, so while winning would appear to be a very remote possibility, she does look like she could be on the fringes of the leaderboard and so warrants support at these odds.

Lorie Kane to finish in the top-five 10/1 @ Five Dimes
There is an even stronger case for Kane to finish in the top-five. She has been less consistent that Redman this year, but she did finish 4th in Office Depot Championship earlier this month, plus she finished 8th two weeks earlier. She also has a very good record on this course even if the last three years have been disappointing by comparison. From her debut in 1997 to 2000, she finished in the top-five on all four occasions, so she certainly should be 10/1 to repeat the feat.

Certainly agree on Kane especially her top5 rate of return last year however a bit late for the 10/1 but still like at
8/1 to place @ 5dimes

Outrights - Final update: 0-3; -4.50pts

Ochoa 10th
Redman 10th
Kane 14th

Disappointing blank given that all three had been in the top-five during the week and at one stage at the weekend it looked as though all three would finish in the top-five for a bumper payout. Did write in a PGA Tour preview this week that "you can only ask of your selections that they at least give themselves a chance" and they all certainly did that. On a different day, at least one of them would have converted their chance.

Matchups - Final update: 2-1-0; +2.19pts

Jones/Han WON by 12
Kerr/Song LOST by 5
Matthew/Prammanasudh WON by 3

Profitable plays thanks to the double-play on Jones who almost won the event. Only loss was from opposing a player who until mid-way through her final round looked as though she would run away with the tournament.
