So Cal
Those of us who have lived in and around L.A. have listened to Chick since we were little kids - even old guys like myself. It is amazing when you consider that I can sit with my son and grandsons and all of us can talk about listening to Chick put games into the refrigerator. He will be missed.

Only listened to Chick Hearn in the past 3 years. Really enjoyed him and partner Stu Lantz broadcast those Laker games. He had a folksy way about him that you could connect with. Possessed a smooth delivery with a bit of an edge. Wasn't afraid to show emotion, but did so without seeming biased (eh, Johnny Most anyone?).

Talk about "Ironman", this guy not only broadcasted those consecutive games, but even did so if under the weather. And he often arrived to the arena hours before the start of the game. I was amazed at those detailed charts he drew up in preparation for each game. He may have been the most professional, most prepared big name broadcaster out there. You will be missed, Chick.:(

Grew up listening to Chick. By far the best I've ever heard although I've been out of the area a long time. A radio broadcast was like being there in person. How anyone could talk so fluently so fast is beyond me. RIP Chick. You were a legend.
