"the bunker"
checked into boxing news and saw this terrible blurb.......

""In a terrible tragedy, former world champion Diego "Chico" Corrales was killed Monday night in a motorcycle accident in Las Vegas. Corrales was apparently riding at a high rate of speed and collided with another vehicle. The accident happened just before 10PM local time. Corrales (40-5, 33 KOs) was just 29 years old. He was involved in what many call the greatest fight ever, when he knocked out Jose Luis Castillo in May 2005. The Fightnews.com staff sends sympathies to Diego's family and long list of friends. He will be missed.""

whew....all i can say is thanks for some great nights in front of the old mitsubishi....and for nearly giving me a heart attack by coming back vs castillo in the first go-round....i forgive you for nearly killing me........and you`ll not soon be forgotten......

very sad...very,very sad....

r.i.p,chico........

Extremely sad news indeed

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends

If every fighter had the heart and passion that Diego displayed...our sport would be in much better shape

The first Castillo-Corrales fight is one of the best fights I've ever seen, ranks right up there with Morales-Barrera I and II

Diego will definitly be missed

Take care Flipper

Thanks Box...

Well Diego was laid to rest...The ceremony was very nice as far as those type of things go..I was glad to see Goosen there among others. I always believed he was always looking after Chico's well being.
