Round 1 plays (1pt):

Tim Petrovic to beat Rickie Fowler -110 @ Five Dimes
Justin Rose to beta Rickie Fowler -110 @ Five Dimes
Opposing Fowler despite (though really because of) all the hype surrounding his 7th and 2nd (playoff loss) finishes in the last two events. Those weren't his first two events as a professional - he had missed the cut and finished 31st in two Nationwide Tour events previously for those and it is not as though he was a new revelation - he had played nine previous PGA & Nationwide Tour events and had missed the cut four times. He may have had an impressive amateur career, but the difference between those two PGA Tour events and this week is pressure. Now he knows that a top-10 finish this week will earn him a Tour Card for next year and avoid a trip to Q-School. That makes this event a completely proposition for Fowler, so there should be better value in opposing him. That can be done with two players who will be free of thoughts about Q-School as their 2010 Tour Card is already secure and have played well recently and in this event: Rose has finished in the top-15 in three of his last four starts and has a record of 24th, 3rd and 4th in three starts here, while Petrovic has finished in the top-15 in each of his last three starts and was a top-10 finisher here last year.

I liked Toms over DL3. I guess Im mad i didnt bet it. Toms played like shit. But DL3 wd'd. Kind of figured his game was a lil rusty.
Q. Davis, 1-over 73 today to start, a little blustery day.
DAVIS LOVE III: Yeah. It was very blustery. I woke up with a really stiff neck, and didn't think I was even going to play. I only hit balls for about 10 minutes before I played. And then I started good.
I was 2-under real quick, and would have been 3-under, but I hit a wrong ball, so I started good, just got stiffer and stiffer as I went along.
So hopefully it'll loosen up. If not, I may be done for the year.

Q. Wait and see tomorrow; right?
DAVIS LOVE III: Yeah. I'm going to rest is probably what I should do.

Q. Yeah.
DAVIS LOVE III: Yeah. I can't turn my neck.

Q. Okay. I'll let you go.
