The Chiefs come into this game with a 4-2 record and coming off two consecutive wins, the last of which was at Miami. The Chiefs record is 2-1 on the road having beaten the pathetic Dolphins and Raiders. The Chiefs sole tough game on the raod was at Denver where they got smoked.
San Diego comes into this game with a 3-4 record having played much better than that. The Chargers losses were against 4 quality teams in Dallas, Denver, Pittsburgh, and Philly. All 4 losses were close and came down to the end of the game. San Diego has 2 wins against qulity teams(NYG and New England) having blown out each as well as Oakland in their 3 wins.
San Diego lost a tough one to Philly last week when their late 4th quarter field goal was returned for a touchdown after they had clearly taken control of the game. Even after the blocked kick, San Diego marched all the way inside Philly's 20 and was poised to win the game before a late fumble. Philly is a very tough place to play.
San Diego will have a sense of urgency in this game as they already trail KC by 1 1/2 games in the division and Denver by 2 games. They cannot afford to fall 3 off the pace and 2 1/2 behind the Chiefs.
