I know that alot of people know how special these hospitals are. A buddy in Atlanta called me last night and told me that he knew of a 16 yr old boy that was in the stem cell unit at childrens whom has cancer here in Birmingham. He stated that the kids computer crashed and that was how he was making it through school using "word". Bruce gave me his amex number ect....and I agreed to cow the cost with him for the kid. Seemed simple enough, until I went down there this afternoon and delivered it. His mom and dad broke out in tears and I shed tears with them as I was taken back by the whole thing. If you have never visited a childrens hospital, I would encourage you to make a visit, it has changed me with just a simple visit.:0008

Thanks for sharing that with us here. I have had a bad day but it is nothing compared to what that kid and his friends and family are treading thru right now.

Do you have any contact info on the kid? Do you have anyway to keep us posted on his health.

Class act, betone!

Our party in Atlanta every year used to go to the Atlanta Children's Hospital. Donated about $100k over the years to them. GREAT place to help out.

We have now teamed up with Bert's Big Adventure which is just like Wish Upon a Star, but only for Atlanta kids.

Party website

Bert's Big Adventure

We donated $42k last year alone to Bert and his cause. We are in the "Wish Granter" category on their partner page.

It's awesome watching a bunch of kids like this getting ready to go on their very first trip... and it be to Disney World!!
