Read this from last year..
WOODY AUSTIN: I grew up down the road. I like coming back home. I get a chance to say hi to old friends and little bits of family that are still around. I always loved Florida, love the heat. Nice to get out of Wichita once in a while and get back to my roots.

Following on from HSBC thread re Tindall - every week I seem to have similar picks/long list - on Marino at lunch at 60s and Watney at 55s and was close to looking at Collins as well.

Also personally like Gay at 45s and Charlie Three Sticks at the same price.

There are some guys out there who I think will never win again. Like Love, like Goosen, and Els. Another is Verplank, I'm capping away and his name keeps coming up. He's on my "look closer list" with company like Gay, T. Clark, and Slocum. I think Slocum will win again, unlike Verp, so why is Verp half the odds of Slocum? Beats me!

Slocum to win 71.00

Two things, Heath can be a real birdie machine once in a while, and he plays good as long as he's playing good. That sounds crazy, doesn't it?

This is the last real tournament in the US, until January. I Probably won't be posting any plays after this week, stress probably.

I predict big changes in pro golf next year. More on that later. GLAA

CHRIS REIMER: Thank you, Boo, for being here. Boo is making his first appearance since the great Ryder Cup victory, which he had a large part in leading them to victory. Boo, if you would, start out by just giving some general comments on what you've been doing since the Ryder Cup. We know we've seen you on The Leno Show, and a couple other national shows. Just kind of explain what you've been doing for the last month, and then we'll open it up to questions.
BOO WEEKLEY: I've been trying to catch up on a lot of rest, but mostly been hunting, doing a little fishing, hiding in the woods. Been to two NASCAR races. I went to Talladega and Charlotte, had fun at both of them.
Hung out with Junior, got to meet Junior, my little boy got to meet Dale Junior and got to hang out with him a little bit. And that's really it. I ain't played no golf (laughs). None.
CHRIS REIMER: Okay. We'll take some questions.

Q. Boo, I'm wondering if you can describe the moment where you during the Ryder Cup teed off, you straddled your driver and basically rode it down the fairway. That might be one of the funniest moments in the history of the Ryder Cup. Can you explain what came over you and what compelled you to do that?
BOO WEEKLEY: I was just kind of taking my practice swing and it hit me, you know. I was taking my first practice swing. I was looking down the fairway where I wanted to stop my ball at, and I was like, well, this would probably be pretty neat if I did this. (Laughs).
I took my second one, and said I'm going to do it if I get it over this tree, if it's drawing a little bit to the left or if it's cutting a little bit, I know I got it at least in the fairway down there. And I hit it and it took off right over that tree, and I was thinking, all right, here we go. (Laughs).

Vaughn Taylor picking up where he left off last week. Opens with four straight birdies. Keep an eye on him this week.

Amazing how talented Boo is. Says he hasnt touched a club since near the Ryder Cup and shoots 4 under.

Alex Cejka seems like a pretty good fade lately. He's missed three of his last four cuts and seems to be on his way to missing four of five. Do you think he will continue to be a good fade?

Not really Chip, he is one of the better players on tour.
http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/player_main.aspx?sport=GOL&id=469

He had back surgery and just wanted to use these final couple events to get ready for the world cup. Plus the pga tour season is over after this week.. its onto the dubai race and australian events. I do have Calcavelchia and a few others penciled in for potential fades..

The better question is why do i continue to bet the european tour. i dont know the players or the courses  But that leaderboard after road 1 is the best of the year.

Do you mean from a betting standpoint? I've been betting matchups for 3+ years, and each year the books get better and better. The lines are so tight now a days.. You can no longer use recent form and course form etc.. since the books have all of that info, you have to use interviews, news stories and injury updates.
