Fernandez will make his first start of the season for Cincinnati. Fernandez is a highly competent rookie pitcher and is more than capable of shutting down the Phillies ailing bats. He was called up from AAA Louisville on September 19 and has made two relief appearances in the Majors. Both were against the tough Cubs line up, in which he posted a respectable four scoreless innings, four strikeouts and only two hits.
Wolf will take the hill for Philadelphia tonight and he should coast through the Reds line up. Cincinnati is batting only .226 in their last 10 games. Their miserable hitting has not been the result of good opposing pitching, as the majority of their past 10 have come against the Milwaukee and Pittsburgh starting staffs. Wolf has pitched UNDER in 14 of 20 this season and 6 of 8 at home. Both teams are also on UNDER runs as Philadelphia has gone UNDER in 10 of their last 12 and Cincinnati has gone UNDER in 4 straight.
I look for PHI to win by a narrow margin (wouldn't recommend laying the run line) in a low scoring affair. I'm playing CIN/PHI UN 9 even.
