WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. ? UC guard Steve Logan looked and sounded
tired Friday. He had spent the night on a couch in the hospital room of his
longtime girlfriend, Kerry Cullinan, who gave birth to Steve Jr. (8 pounds, 10
ounces) late Wednesday night.
Logan, who flew home to Cleveland on Thursday, got up at 4a.m. Friday
to catch an early flight, returning to North Carolina in time for the Bearcats'
11a.m. practice.
?I probably won't see him again until Senior Night (March 3),? Logan said.
?It's hard. I miss him already. I miss looking at him already.?
The 21-year-old senior had hoped to get to Cleveland in time for the birth,
but his son had other ideas. When he first laid eyes on his child, Logan said,
?I saw me all over again. It was serious, but it was funny.?
He doesn't think he'll have any problem concentrating today at Wake
Forest.
?I don't think so,? Logan said. ?If any game was hard, it was Wednesday
(at Charlotte). I should be totally focused. I know that he's taken care of and
everybody's doing well.?
What's the old saying that athletes are human just like all of us....I think it might be a little hard for the young kid to concentrate even if he says he won't....I heard Howard is out...can anyone confirm...Thanks
