Tennis finally returns to the land where it was born and the steep tradition lives on. Cincinatti has long been thought to be the birthplace of tennis and there isn't one player in the world who doesn't consider Cincinnatti the 5th major. Nadal and Gulbis have been on record trying to get rid of the French Open as a major and have Cincinatti be the 4th major because it has electricity....time will tell.

It's nice for the tour to be back on American soil after their foray up north to the winter wonderland, but it's nice they are back in God's Country. No reports if anyone was snowed in. Thankfully the Gulbis jet didn't get ice damage.

But I digress.......

Anderson -115 x 2

Sock + 185 x 2. Laughable line. This is stealing. The most dominant serve on hardcourts against a canuck who is tired and humiliated from his countrys event. He was schooled by Nadal. Raonic had the biggest win of his career over a hurt and uninterested Gulbis so a good tourney for him, but I think he want's rest and to spend intimate time with Daniel Nestor before the US Open. Sock 6-0, 6-0 sounds about right.

Harrison + 325 x 1. Where has ferrer been. Certainly not playing good tennis these last few months.

Baker +350 x 1. This guy is nails. Never gotten a fair shake in tennis life. His chances are few and he knows that. Wouldn't surprise me to see a W here.

You can't find anywhere where I said I thought gulbis would have a good week. I didn't.

But watching Ryan Harrison play tennis is like watching a famous painter go to work on ? blank canvas. It's just a joy to see his improvement and a real treat to watch. Plus hes just a great guy as well.
