Claude Giroux suspended for Game 5

NEW YORK ? Philadelphia Flyers forward Claude Giroux has been suspended for one game for delivering an illegal check to the head of New Jersey Devils forward Dainius Zubrus during the teams' Eastern Conference Semifinal game in New Jersey on Sunday, May 6, the National Hockey League?s Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 19:56 of the second period. A minor penalty for illegal check to the head was assessed to Giroux.

i was surprised about the 1 game
late absolutely, his should did hit the head as well
no priors tho and Zubrus was fine

Shanahan on vacation during the 1st round with the discipline, got called out & now calling everything.

i agree with the suspension, but none of this was called in the 1st round games.

comes at the worst time with the flyers facing elimination & their best player not on the ice.
