I've thought all along that this was the Laker's season but this Cleveland team seems to have everything they need. The reason I like them over a team from the west is because of their defense and chemistry. These guys "seem" to really like each other. That's not something you find in many teams, I think this is where LeBron is truely the MVP.

I think we will get what everyone has thought for awhile now and what everyone wants to see and that is Lakers/Cavs. I think we will also get a really good series, but I think Phil wins his 10th title and rides off into the sunset.

I think Cavs would have home court advantage, but that can be tricky in the Finals with the 2-3-2 format.

Yeah, I'm not so sure about the Lakers getting thru anymore. I thought all along that they would breeze thru the west but I don't think so anymore. They're just to soft of a team and the Rockets and now Denver play a very physical style ball. If I had to bet on it I would still say the Lakers but they're going to have to work a lot harder than I thought.

RATINGSSSSS if the Lakers and Cavs both make it.

I do agree, they are too soft. Other than Kobe and maybe Fisher, they are very soft. But the West is a lot tougher. Cavs beating DET and ATL...not much of an accomplishment. Boston/Orlando will be a step up but neither should compete.

Denver is the wildcard and will make things interesting. I think the Cavs are really good but the East is weak and I don't see them winning it all. Should be interesting once this round is done.

The only way Cleveland wins is if they don't play the Lakers.

They simply cannot handle ANY team who has offensive weapons down low as well as a go to player. Typically the Cavs thrive against soft inside play, but the Lakers have 2 good inside players, plus an AGGRESSIVE rebounder in Odom inside that just kills them.

Who's going to stop the big 3 down low for the Lakers? Big Z, Wallace, and Varejao? LMFAO, hell no.

The Cavs better worry about Orlando, because I think Orlando can beat the Cavs.

I'm dead serious when I say that Cleveland couldn't even take the Lakers to a 7 game series.

The Lakers are a ATRIOUCOUS matchup for the Cavs....

It's not like the Lakers are loaded with offensive players in the post, yeah Gasol is good but you never know what you're going to get from him. Bynum, I'm not even going there because the kid can barely stay in games.

If the Cavs thrive against soft inside play then the Lakers should be the perfect matchup. Bynum, Gasol and Odem are as soft as it gets. They're very good players but physical is not for them, see Celtics last year.

Dead on RR, Cavs bench very weak and once LeBron HAS to play offense and defense there just won't be enough points on the board to win. Bench--gibson,verrajo, uhhh wallace? Where do u find production once u face a viable NBA team? Should b fun but this is just another learning year for Lebron this year Kobe gives the lessons...u think Kobe isn't driven to show the world who's the best player? You won MVP--so I will embarass u in the showdown is what he is thinking I can gaurantee it.

Did you not watch Lamar Odom single handedly man handle the Cavs on the boards in Cleveland?

The Lakers HAMMERED Cleveland on the boards, and Bynum didn't even play in that game.

Cleveland can beat Denver, but not LA. Denver can beat Houston, but not LA.

However, Cleveland better worry about Orlando because if they're hitting 3's they're awful dangerous. On top of the fact that they match up well with Cleveland anyways...

Rowdy, I know what you're saying but I also know that playoff bball is different than the regular season. Clevland plays better d and in the playoffs defense is the one thing that gets turned up a notch.

Bynum didn't play because of his injury but he won't play if they meet in the finals because it makes for matchup problems if he does. That would be Odom would have to play James and that's not flying. Odom hurts Cleveland because of his quickness vs their pfs.

Right, and EVERYTHING about the Lakers just goes out of the window because of the sake of your argument? Get real...

The Lakers are the better team, home or away. They've proven it...

Your argument is rather weak...

I don't try to make this scientific...

The only factors that are necessary are that the Lakers beat Cleveland IN Cleveland, and it wasn't a buzzer beater. It was an ass whoopin'. The final factor is matchups.

The Cavs can't stop anyone for the Lakers while the Lakers give the Cavs matchup problems defensively all over the place...

Big Z isn't going against C's that are 3-4 inches shorter, NOBODY can check Odom, and Kobe is the best player in the world. Kobe can guard LeBron, that's been proven.

Rowdy, I agree with you on a lot of this when it comes to matchups but not about Odom. Lamar is great when the game is free flowing and not physical. When the game slows down and becomes physical, he disappears. It's not my opinion it's just the way he's always been.

I'm a western conference fan and always think they're the best but one thing I've realized is that just because they look better in the regular season doesn't make them the best in the finals. The only teams to win lately in the west is the Lakers(with Shaq) and the Spurs. Both physical teams when Shaq is there. Last year the Lakers couldn't take how physical it was and before that the Mavs suffered from how physical the Heat where.

It's much like how Phoenix, Mavs(with Nellie) and Sac(in the good years) where they look great, win a lot of games and score a ton of points but come playoff time when the D gets turned up they don't do as well.

You could be right, the Lakers still have a great shot at winning.
