When a boxer gets one of his eyes closed from a series of blows. How long, in terms of days or weeks, after the fight will that eye open up and return to normal? The reason I ask is my newborn's right eye hasn't opened in 2 weeks. The doctor said it was the result of the bumpy birth canal that she went through and that her eye is just bruised. Three out of four doctors that we have seen said that it will eventually open, but that was said when she was 2 days old. Her current pediatrian suggests that we take her to a specialist when she's 30 days old. It was completely closed at birth and has opend up to 20% now at 19 days.
