Today and tomorrow means 36 holes of golf at the local tract, to determine the Club Champion!

Now, yours truly wil not be in the Championship Flight, as my golf game stinks!

But, I will be plugging along with the rest of the hacks in the lesser flights, for a shot at our own "glory". My USGA handicap of 13.7 will be put to the test, but with a little "golf mojo" from some of you, and kind thoughts from others, I am sure that I can pull this off!

A couple of 85's would be nice for this old duffer, and a beverage girl with a couple of 38's would be even better!

If I see beantown, I will punch him in the eye as a collective retort to all his bullshit!

Bet well today, my friends!

yyz,

In order to keep your head down,

you may want to consider this device...

Tie a 3' piece of string to a headband.

Fasten a fish hook to the other end of the string.

Place the headband around your forehead and as you address the ball, secure the fish hook to your scrotum.

Whaddya' think?

The problem with these types of tournaments is that 90% of
them are sandbaggers......someone with a 20 handicap shoots
4 under.....you are'nt one of those are you Y......?????;)

Thanks for the support boys!

At the half way point, I am at 90

Of course, the leader in my flight is at 79

I did win some nice door prizes at the after golf outing. I have no shot at cashing tomorrow, so it looks like I'll be hoping for a lucky shot at a skin, or a closest to the pin prize.

AND that's exactly why I don't participate in my local club's tournaments anymore. After six years of seeing the same ole chit, I decided to call it quits. There are too many other things I can blow $200 dollars on. Our Country Club even had to initiate the 10% rule, but it did little to no good. I witnessed numerous sandbaggers blow putts on the last few holes in tournament's 1st rounds just to stay within a particular flight. A common occurence would be for a scambagger to shoot an 82-86 on the 1st day, then finish up with a cool 72-74. If I heard it once, I heard it a thousand times; "Just had an extremely LUCKY day". I say BULLCHIT! If your packin' a 12-14 handicap then you are NOT ever gonna shoot par in ANY round you play!

I eventually wised up and now only play for .50/pts, beer, and lots of laughs! However, I still have a few friends who play in these damn things and whine and bitch about all the sandbaggers when the tourney finishes.

BTW.....Has anyone seen Anna Nicole Smith's ass? What in the hell has happened to that woman! All jokes aside, she's had to have put on a good #100 pounds over the last year & 1/2. Never in my life seen someone change so drastically in a short period of time.

You probably wouldn't have even come in the money in the 9th flight of our local Club Championship. I remember a few years back, the guy who won the eighth flight shot a 75 on the 2nd day....

You would fit right in our games. boggey golfer who likes to drink:toast: :toast: I shot 84 today 39-45 to much Budweiser on the back side.:D

I had an interesting round of golf yesterday. I shot 73 with only 7 pars. Had four birdies and eagle, but had five bogeys and a double. We have our club championship coming up in two weeks. Am hosting one of the biggest tournaments in town next weekend. We will have 12 teams playing a scramble, ABCD format, and the teams are paired by a committee before the tournament. Every team has the same fair chance teeing it up on Sunday.

Get this for $125, you get to bring wife/date to party Saturday night, two buffets icluding filet, shrimp, crab and all the fixins, plus 10 free drinks and then we have the Calcutta. We will be playing for $15,000-18,000 cash in the tournament. You also get six drink tickets during the tournament and dinner afterwards.

WISH ME LUCK!!!!

WISH YOU LUCK!!!!I hope you come in second place behind my team. Please dont put those same losers on my team again or should I say LOSER.Cause this time I will breakdown and knock him out on about hole #5.If there's one thing I hate when playing team golf is a hack that complains and NEVER,I mean 1 shot contributes.Anyway..it is a great tournament but not enuff drink tickets. My double crowns eat up my tickets toooo fast.Ill see you Sat night. At least give me 3 guys that will buy our team.Last year the D guy pitched in $100 on our team and we went for $1350..And one more thing.......Where was this shrimp, filet, crab buffett last year?.All I got was some corn, potatoes, and sirloin but I did get hammered!!!!!!!:thefinger

P.S Club championship has been moved to TBA in Sept!!!!!!Thanks to me and Ty bitching at AJ today
