First time betting a pre-season friendly, so I'm treading lightly.
Some clubs take preseason tours to Asia and the US and other clubs with less international fanbases stay local or in the Wolverhampton Wanderers case, they are heading to Ireland and taking on 2010 Irish Premier League Champion Bohemians FC. The problem for the Irish clubs is that they're all broke and their stadiums only host 5-7,000 as their fans enjoy the English premier league better, which is why you schedule a friendly in the middle of their season against a Premier League club. . . .but the problem is that the Bohemians are in the middle of a two-legged Champion's League tie to move on to the third round which is two rounds away from a guaranteed 7.1 MM pounds (club altering money in the Ireland Premier League). . . and they're in the middle of their league campaign. They've got to put out a youth side or they risk Champions League or their league.
Wolves manager Mick McCarthy has said that he will put out a side that will compete in the Premier League and while I've seen NFL coaches lie in their preseason selections, I've got no reason not to believe him.
First team English Premier League v. Youth team from the Irish Premier League. Price seems generous.
But I could be completely wrong
Wolves (Friendly) -216* vs FC Bohemians (Friendly) to win 1 unit
