I see that the line on the Kings to win the
series is +900 right now... they are down 3-2 in the series... For anyone that is liking the Kings tonight wouldn't it make more sense to bet the +900 for the series and not the +165 for the game.. because if they win that means you'd have Kings for +900 in game #7... and could let it ride or bet some of it back on the Avs...

Just a thought... what do the rest of you think...

The way you have to see it just to imagine a parlay.. You parlay game 6 and game 7.

Game 6: LAKings +170
Game 7 should be around +270 (if there's a game 7) according to to previous lines.

So +170 * +270 = +900


So the line makes sense...

However I saw +1150 at GCS earlier today.. now down to +1050. If you like the Kings... still a great value here IMHO. Question to ask yourself is: "At this point, do you think the Kings would be able to win b/b games against Colorado and win the series more than 1 time out of 10?" I personally think that the correct probability here is around 1/7 (~14%), so if I didn't have any money on the Kings, I'd play them for a small amount.

Katts is right. It comes down to risk vs. reward (as does everything in gambling). Line is about right as katts stated. You could reduce risk by taking Kings +165-170 and then if they win taking them +260-275 in game 7. That way you have a 1 in 3 chance of losing $100 (let's assume you are a $100 player).

Kings lose game 6 you are -$100
Kings win game 6 and lose game 7 you are +$70
Kings win game 6 and win game 7 you are +$435

Those scenarios of course assume that you play them again in game 7 should they win game 6 tonight. If you take the +900 for the series...

Kings lose game 6 -$100
Kings win game 6 and lose game 7 -$100
Kings win game 6 and 7 +$900

You could hedge your bet after a game 6 win by LA and play Colorado at approximately
-320, then you are looking at...

Kings win game 7 +$580 (900-320)
Kings lose game 7 you are even
