Love handicapping the bowl games...so many variables makes it extra fun...always looking at matchups/contrast of styles and overrated teams vs underrated as well as who has played the better competition etc...so far I like these:

Md -1 vs BC...two weak teams who really are lucky to be playing at all post season...assuming Perry Halls is Md's QB, think the Terps have a big edge at QB and offense...BC the stronger D of the two..but you've got to have some O to win..can't be all D....Terps season will be called a success if they win this one...6 wins and a bowl win...all against lousy teams...but that's the best script possible for Md's 1st year coach.....BC's O is pretty bad..Md's D line is terrible so BC I think can grind out some yardage...Terps 33, BC 23

Georgia -1 vs TCU--normally don't like to play first year coaches and am doing so in these this one as well as Md...TCU coach a veteran coach in contrast...except coaches don't play...TCU not the same kind of team as previous years..they are lucky to be here beating a terrible Texas team in their last....Georgia a mid-level SEC team this year but they do have some talent...and more talent the TCU...Georgia 37, TCU 17

Tenn -3...vs Nebraska...Tenn is a team I've learned to bet against over the years...Butch Jones has no control over this team...bunch of individuals who rarely play together and are as undisciplined as hell....but I'll got to the well in this one...although talent doesn't always win, in this one, I think it does...Neb is kind of overrated and was exposed a bit playing the better teams....Tenn with their decent QB, will score...Neb QB Armstrong...will throw some picks..Tenn the type of team who can run him down too....holding my nose I'll take Tenn in a 42-31 type game...

Penn State ML and + 6 1/2...two hot teams, two teams ending season well...just like the way PSU's offense is clicking..both running and passing...their QB has come of age and to me, PSU looks like the 2nd best team in nation...really good QB, with really good skills positions...and a decent D....USC also playing great...their QB is not quite as good however...that's the edge I think gives PSU the win...PSU 35, USC 34.

Add Pitt - 5 1/2

Add Pitt - 5 1/2

Pitt beat both Clemson and Penn State...two of the best teams in the nation, that's what they are capable of...Pitt improved as the season progressed and they can put up points both running the ball and passing...I think they can get to 40 in this one like they did several times during the regular season...NW has a good QB as does Pitt...so NW will score as well...they don't run the ball that well however..and their D is average and they kind of hit a wall as a team mid-season whereas Pitt played well at the end....don't think either team comes out flat and both teams are well coached..just think Pitt has the more explosive O and will win by 10 or more...Pitt 47, NW 34.

Add Carolina ML vs Stanford

Add Carolina ML vs Stanford

Carolina is not a team I typically like to play...kind of dumb team with a coach who you can't trust to win a big game...although he does keep the Tar Heels in the run every year and he's a good recruiter...Carolina has a really good QB, one of the best in college I think..he's had a few weeks to prepare and think he comes up real big in this game...receivers are good and Carolina plays a pro type offense and can score quickly...don't think Stanford can keep up with them...Stanford w/o McCafferty (and with him too) has had a pedestrian O all year....they use ball control and try to win with smashmouth football...that can work against similar teams..but don't think Carolina will play that game..think they come out firing and get a healthy lead and don't look back..Carolina 43, Stanford 27.
