I like the Penn State play. Penn State is a team that gets no respect. A lot of this is because they are always playing second fiddle to Ohio State and Jm Harbaugh at Michigan is simply a lot more interesting than James Franklin, who is considered to be a horses back end by some of his peers and some of the press. Any Penn State loss eliminates them from the CFB Championship round. Iowa managed to put a lot of people to sleep last week in their 10-3 loss to Michigan. With a game at Wisconsin on the schedule, it is hard to see how Iowa ends up in the Big 10 Championship game.

Penn State does have to keep their head on this game and forget about next week's game at home against Michigan. A loss here, and that game becomes an elimination game for them. They also have games at Michigan State and Ohio State. Penn State simply cannot afford to lose this game.

Hawks can not play that bad 2 games in a row on offense can they? I hope not. I expect a lot more out of Stanley. gl

I have a major problem with Iowa and their HC Kirk Ferentz. He simply never wins anything worth talking about. Sure he always manages to beat up on the Big 10 weaker teams, of which he plays 8 this season, but he never wins any championships. He is good for 8-10 or more wins a season, but facts are facts. He has NEVER won a Big 10 title outright. He has never won a Rose Bowl game. Stanford destroyed Iowa in his only appearance to date. He is 1-5 vs Wisconsin, 0-5 in his last 5 games against Penn State, and 1-3 vs Ohio State (4 games in 10 years). His schedules are so easy that he has been favored in at least 8 games per season in the past 10+ seasons. If you are willing to settle for that, then he is a good HC. I am a USC Grad and USC Grads are NOT willing to settle for that. Just my 2 cents.

I like the over in this one, Hawkeye. Hawks at home with the crowd, a night game and their special unis will and they will certainly perform better than they did in Ann Arbor.
They?ll still get beat? most likely by at least 2 TDs as Stanley is terribly immobile and State Penn got 10 sacks the other day.
Jackson most likely will play better this week as he was a bit rusty after not playing for a few weeks and I see a few points from both squads.
Got talked into going to the game? supposed to be lower 40s and heavy winds. Brrr!
