-Week of 8/31-
STILL ADDING PLAYS AS THE WEEK PROGRESSES....CHECK THE SITE (can't post a link, but you can see where I am talking about from a neighbor) AT HALF TIME FOR MORE PICKS AS WELL!!!
EDIT----ADDED PLAY
Adding one play (played this earlier in between classes), this line seems to be dropping, but I like it at +1 and PK also.
(Thursday Game)
Northern Illinois +2 vs Wake Forest -110 (Olympic Sports)
1/2 unit
(Friday Game)
Oklahoma -19.5 1st Half @ Tulsa -110 (Olympic Sports)
1 unit
Oklahoma will not find an easier opponent all year and they should exploit them early and often in this one. Stoopes will bring everything he's got in the first half here and the defense would be disappointed not to shut an unproductive Tulsa team. The Golden Hurricanes are anything but "golden," and the OU defense will not let up against them. Tulsa has failed to cover the first half line in 6 of their last 7 home games (as dogs) the past two seasons. Don't see that changing.
Tulsa +7.5 4th Quarter vs Oklahoma -120 (Olympic Sports)
1/2 unit
I think by the 4th Quarter, Oklahoma will have punished this team enough...getting the hook at 7.5 is solid even with the extra vig...OU is not the type of team to run up the score here. Instead, I see some backups getting some snaps and OU will be looking forward to next week.
Central Florida +7 1st Half @ Penn State -120 (Olympic Sports)
1/2 unit
Paterno's team doesn't impress me...they will have to prove something to me before I lay off a play like this. PSU will have 4 starters returning on offense after a dismal 5-6 year and Zack Mills does not present a threat to a Central Florida defense that has allowed 19.3 PPG over the last two seasons. Yes Penn State is at home, yes Paterno wants all the wins he can get...but flat out, this team is just not very talented.
Florida -17 1st Half vs UAB -120 (Olympic Sports)
1 unit
Florida has something to prove, bottom line. They are going to be thinking offense, offense, and more offense in this one, hoping to overcome the Spurrier loss. The UAB defense is inexperienced to say the least and the Florida offense is as potent as any in the country. Grossman will be ready to fire away in this one, and new head coach Zook will use the ground game to open up the passing lanes even more. Florida is 10-4 ATS in the first half as home chalk the last two seasons, and they could cover this one by 21+ in my opinion.
Louisiana Tech PK 1st Quarter vs Oklahoma State -110 (Olympic Sports)
2 units
I like the LA Tech offense too much...I don't see Oklahoma State winning any QTR in this game, so to have a PK line where I think the worst that can happen is a push is hard to pass up on.
Louisiana Tech -1 vs Oklahoma State -110 (Olympic Sports)
1 unit
If I like LA Tech in the first (and probably the 2nd QTR as well when I can get a line), I think -1 is a gift for the game.
Texas -35 vs North Texas -110 (Olympic Sports)
1 unit
Have to take the Horns here as they open up against a very weak North Texas squad. Simms and Co. are ready to roll, and I see this game with at least a 40 point gap. North Texas did make it to a bowl last season, but don't let that sway you...they were the only team with a sub .500 record to play in the post-season. The Texas defense will bring all kinds of stunts and blitzes, as they will not have much of an offensive attack to worry about. The Longhorns are ready for this one. Cedric Benson and Roy Williams will combine for 5 TD's alone, take my word! NOTE: I "know" this Texas squad VERY well.
