From today's Denver Post-"Colorado pot shops in September reeled in $127.9 million in sales of medical and recreational cannabis, notching a revenue record for the 3 consecutive month." "Sales have topped $974.3 million in the past nine months" For the whole year of 2015 the take was $996.2 million.:scared:00x10:0031

since its legal there have they lowered any taxes for you? Income, sales or property taxes? Just curious

I would be for legalization if it lowered my property or sales taxes here in Texas

One of the guys I golf with every day has a son out in Boulder who has a hemp oil distribution joint. I guess he is raking it in right now.

Thanks for answering my question, it would make sense to lower taxes with that sort of revenue coming in.

Has crime gone down? Have DUI's gone down? My guess is no change in either since weed was legalized. Its only a matter of time until its legal in all states under federal law

Crime up-school expulsion up-DUI up. Just passed a law where if cities allow it bars, clubs etc you can smoke it there-outside of course on patio. Denver just passed a budget to hire 25 more cops.

Just for thoughts,,,,Are the officials attributing it to the legalization of pot? Or has the population exploded so much the numbers HAD to go up?
Reason I ask is here in Birmingham several years ago we had a horsetrack and the detractors said big time gambling would bring big time crime,,Of course the track failed but there wasn't an increase in crime,,until this year where murders are commonplace,,Maybe it just took 25 years??:popcorn2:facepalm:

Population has grown out here the last 1-2 years. Many people moving here because of the pot-rec & medicinal. Alot of parents for their kids because they have seizures. Legal and pot both.
