i have not posted alot in this forum. usually just during football season. from what i have read there are alot of good cappers and worthwhile opinions in here. i would like to join you guys and offer my picks as well.
college football is finally upon us. thank god. baseball is a very long season and i am getting burned out playing it. i love football. i usually do very well in the colleges, but have come out on the losing end in the nfl, so keep that in mind if you are following my picks this year. i will post separate threads for both college and pro, and keep separate records on both as well. football is great because you can take your time all week and study games and make your bets on the weekend.
i am a fairly small bettor. i don't bet thousands of dollars each week, but i do bet my plays. i will rate my plays the following way.
BEST BETS..........a three unit play for me.
STONG PLAY......a two unit play for me.
REGULAR PLAY......a one unit play for me.
OPINION.........a half unit play
GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY..........THIS SEASON SHOULD BE GREAT!!
LET THOSE BASEBALL PLAYERS GO ON STRIKE............WHO CARES NOW!!

now onto the first game of the year.......................
colorado st +3 over virginia (opinion)..................fiirst game of the year, so i have to bet it. (i know you are thinking you don't have to bet anything), but it is only an opinion (1/2 unit play for me). i have read alot of different views on this game. it seems split on both sides. people say how can colorado st be a dog in this one? they are the better team. others say virginia at home is a steal only laying three points to a team from a weaker conference. i will read one thing and say wow, i am taking colorado st. then i go and read something about virginia and think the same on them. after reading alot, probably too much, i feel there is more reason to take colorado state in this one. i think state has an edge at qb in this one. i like their special teams better as well. the only real advantage that i see for the cavs is playing at home and i think colorado state can overcome that. i feel it is sort of fishy that virginia is only a three point favorite in this one, another reason i am going with col. st. should be a real good game. like i said though, just a half unit play for me to get me started.
