I went to Toronto today for the Comdex show and what a disappointment. In the past the show used to be one of the hilights of my summer. There was always new product demonstrations that were intriguing and the keynote speakers were people that you wanted to hear - Bill Gates as an example. But no more! This show just plain sucked. Now instead of being a show that demonstrates the new and coming technologies, it has become a forum for cheap advertising and shameless promotions. And of course the giveaways are worthless now too.
I'm sure the fall of the NASDAQ is one of the reasons for the big drop in quality at the show but it certainly is no longer worth the time.
