Okay, I don't know shit about these damned things, but I know that I am pissed!

I have Yahoo! as my home page which is fine....I like that. but, recently I was doing some surfing and somehow got this "Comet Curser" that comes up as a tool bar on my screen. It is harmless, but takes up space, and is annoying. Now, after surfing some porn site, I have another tool bar up there from them! My whole fking screen is tool bars!

My questions is simple:

"HOW DO I GET RID OF THIS SHIT?????

Thank you,

yyz

Take deep breaths yyz. They have to do better than that to keep us away from porn.

Go to: My Computer>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs

Find the cursor crap in the list and delete it. Simple as that.

Monk,

Thanks for the help! I got rid of a lot of crap. Unfortunately, the porn tool bar is still there! I don't know what it would be listed under in the place you told me to look. I would hate to eliminate something that I need!

Thanks for the rest of the help, though.....I guess those XXX's and the titties will continue to be up there, unless you have any other ideas?

can't you just 'right click' on it to delete it?

No.......It doesn't even show "properties" when you right click. These bastards are clever!

Oh you have one of those ads that will not allow you to close out by "X"ing out or right clicking on.

Do a Ctrl-Alt-Delete........go to Task Manager........and End Task on the ad you see in the list provided.

This should work.

yyz..

yyz..

I know this will sound strange, but I actually dealt with this problem once before with a co-workers computer. He was surfing where he shouldn't be surfing on company time and the same thing happened to him. I was taking an A+ course at the time, and he asked me for help. Anyway, I discovered (after playing around with it for 15 minutes) that the porn site actually changed his home page setup. The screen looked exactly the same as what he used to have for a home page, except for the new toolbars and address bar! I went into Tools, Options and saw it was actually being redirected to another porn site. I changed back his home page and he was fine. Who knows? It happened once before...doublecheck that, too. Tricky bastards!
