Computer Help Needed

Kids computer...
Running AOL software...
Unfortunately on their set up still have dial up...
Internet Explorer keeps launching on me with different pop up sites, even though I am not running that program. I go into applications and there it is running. So I disable and on it's own will start up again.

Any thoughts on what is going on? Obviously a virus of some sort, but I have run AOL Spyware and it does not fix anything.

AOL is THE cause, not the cure!!!

Try Spybot Search&Destroy and AdAware to fix your problem, then install Firefox and use it exclusively as your browser. Use AOL only to make your internet connection, then minimize it and lauch Firefox.

What are yah using for an anti-virus???
