Did you try to do a system restore to move your computer back a few days (or to anytime before you started having this problem)?

I would go in and clean out your temp internet files, maybe even set them to clear on exit from your browser

You can clear these through internet options in your control panel, and delete temp files.

Does it happen on certain websites?

Does it only happen if your surfing the web?

Does it happen if you just are saying playing a game of solitaire or typing a document in Word?

Could be a power supply going bad?

Ok cant do anything on it now
It will boot up and stay on as long as you do nothing
Doesnt matter if you are on like a program or the internet
Could be the power supply but the fan is running
fan is also running on cpu
Blew out all the dust this morning...did nothing
Its like anything time the computer thinks..or the hour glass comes on it just restarts
ANNOYING!!!!

sounds like the power supply to me. They are not hard to replace, and if that doesn't work, then you can return the power supply.

You obviously have another computer, so you can try different things like taking the hard drive and putting it in another machine, and take the hard drive you know that works and put it that machine. Just make sure you have a system restore point created and you should be okay.

Damn man, same thing happened to me, definately do not use IE.

But sounded like maybe your CPU fan went out causing overheating on the motherboard. I'm sorry you have to replace that stuff. If you know anything about computers then build one, you can get great parts for cheap here...

Control Panel/Add-Remove Programs, see if you installed an un-necessary security program. If it's used rarely or occasionally, lose it.
