It seems like a common problem.

My home page keeps going to isearch or perfectnav ?

I have changed back to msn under tools and hit apply but it keeps returning:shrug:

I have run spy bot and and Ad-aware several times, and it still comes up.

is this a virus?

PerfectNav is designed to redirect your URL typing errors to PerfectNav's web page. Bundled with the Free Ad Supported version of Kazaa Media Desktop 2.6. It's likely to be found in software supplied by eUniverse sites, such as thunderdownloads.com, myfreecursors.com, cursorzone.com and mycoolscreen.com. It slows performance of Internet Explorer to the point of crashing it.


To manually remove PerfectNav from your computer:
Stop Running Processes:
Kill these running processes with Task Manager:

programfilesdir+\kazaa\perfectnavuninstall.exe
programfilesdir+\perfectnav\bho\tipb.exetipb.exe



Unregister DLLs:
Unregister these DLLs with Regsvr32, then reboot:

systemroot+\system32\perfectnavbho.dll

Clean Registry:
Remove these registry items (if present) with RegEdit:

Restore Settings:
After following the instructions above, you will still need to restore your original settings and prevent this from happening again.

Regarding adaware, they just came out w/ a new build, version 1.81. I ran the older version (1.61 i think) and it found 0 spyware but when i downloaded 1.81 it found over 60. I guess they redifined some of the parameters.

I got it! Deleted Kazaa!

It basically shut me down off internet explorer!
