Computer Question (hardware)

I have a friend's computer, it was infected w/spyware, so I put the HD in my computer, and reformatted. I proceeded to use that HD as the only one (in my comp), and install everything back, fine, computer's working great. However, when I put it back in the old computer, Windows will not start up. :cursin:

Anyone?

If your using windows xp, it wont run on another computer, (that i know of) except the one you installed it on, it takes some computer mumbo jumbo from the mother board of the computer which it is originally installed on, which makes it unlikely to work on another computer.

it probably needs the drivers for the motherboard of the current pc. That is why when I work on a pc I take it with me. Plus it teaches them how valuable their computer is when they don't have it for a couple days
