Over the past couple of days I have been having a much needed cleanup of my hard drive by doing all the usual things.

There is one thing that I can't figure out and I am hoping their is someone that may be able to give me the answer. Hopefully my question will make sense ....

In my Address Bar if I start typing a website starting with www.ma the drop down box below displays other websites starting with the same letters:

www.madjacksports.com
www.magic.com
www.mavericks.com

When I go thru Control Panel / Internet Options and then Delete Files or Clear History this will get rid of 99% of these websites but there are some websites (especially ones from 12 months ago) that will continue to show up.

Any ideas on how to get rid of the websites that keep appearing ??

Cartman, try this click on edit then preferences then double click advanced then cache. This should get you a panel where you can clear your memory and disc cache.I think it clears temporary internet files and cookies.

Thanks for the suggestions.

All fixed now.

:D

Turning off Auto Complete did the trick.

Going to the Content Tab and turning off Auto Complete meant that I didn't get the drop down box but it was still coming up with some of the old websites.

I then tried going into the Advanced Tab and I unticked "Use inline Auto Complete for Web addresses".

I had a hell of a time in Darwin this summer. Wish I could have "done" Perth or Sydney. Met a few Aussies while I was in Thailand too nice guys. Hope I can visit again soon (Aussie)
