Well I gave up on my desktop computer and now I have a laptop
I have my old hard drive as a slave in my other desktop
How can I transfer pictures and such my my desktop to my laptop? Can I connect the 2 with an ethernet cord?
Or they are both on a wireless network...does that help???

There are many ways to do this. Do you have a flash usb drive, you could back it up on that.

Also, there are many programs out there that will back up your computer and then you can just transfer it to the cpu of your choice.

Hope this helps,

if you have aim, all you need is another screen name. You can put it all in a folder and send it to your laptop on the other screen name. Will go pretty fast since you are on the same network.
