Concerning robberies

I recently read somewhere that these robberies are about to become an expected if no accepted part of boxing.

And really the trend has been there! You can call the scoring of the Sturm vs. Macklin fight controversial. But Alexander vs. Mathysse and Lara vs. Williams, these were downright robberies.

I don?t completely understand the mechanics behind it, but I suspect that some judges score in favour of certain fighters, because they want to keep their jobs and be invited by the same promoters again.

Ultimately though it?s definitely hurting the sport of boxing: the fighters, the gamblers (I have ?lost??so to speak- some serious money because of crooked judges) the spectators (and thereby the TV companies and promoters as well)!

HBO has been very critical about the scoring of yesterday?s fight, which is a very good thing!

The question is, what can we do about it!?!

I have been hearing complaints everywhere, and I have been complaining myself, but quite frankly it doesn?t matter too much!

But maybe it could help to send the TV companies (HBO etc.) or the commentators (Max Kellerman?) some mails! I?m no talking about boycotting boxing events or TV shows, but it could be mentioned that our interest in boxing and purchasing PPV cards is really decreasing because of these decisions!

IMO it would help if the commentators would take a closer look on the judges (like Al Bennett, Hilton Whitaker, Donald Givens ,Carlos Colon, Denny Nelson); whether they were involved in some shady decisions. I?m sure they and the promotional companies wouldn?t like that kind of attention!!

If you want to help, please copy this text or write something likewise and post it in other forums or send it around via E-Mail etc., especially to TV companies and promotions!!!

This is the website for the New Jersey State Commision. http://www.nj.gov/oag/sacb/feedback.html

This is my e-mail that I sent-

I watched the result of the Lara-Williams boxing match this weekend with utter disgust and rage. I have loved boxing since I was a child and I wanted to put my boot through the TV.

Your 3 judges are either completely incompetent or corrupt.

I read that you are planning on doing nothing but to review the scorecards with the judges.
In my opinion, this makes you as incompetent or corrupt as they are.

You have a chance to make a statement to show our beloved sport is not in the gutter.

Decisions like this are the reason people are turning away from boxing in droves.

If I screw up as badly as your judges at my job, I get fired.
These guy's are messing with peoples futures and should have some accountability.

Thanks for your time, Paul.

Guys please. These bad decisions go to the bookies. The bad calls in other sports rarely go against the bookies. Add it up. Big easy money to steal. U want to fix it? Take away the gambling. That is the only way u can fix it and we know this isn't gonna happen. U can complain all u want. They just laugh it off. Heck look at Dana White. Screaming to get his own judges. he also is living a pipe dream. It will never happen.

in a move announced Wednesday, the New Jersey State Athletic Control Board (?NJSACB?) placed all three judges who scored the Williams-Lara fight on an indefinite suspension.
