Conference Championships Take Shape

By SPORTSBETTING.COM

There are three weeks left in the college football season and both the BCS and conference championship pictures are slowly but surely beginning to take shape.

The Ohio State Buckeyes, by virtue of their loss to Illinois, have been pretty much knocked out of the BCS championship picture while LSU makes a return to the top spot and Oregon moves up to No. 2.

Currently, Louisiana State is listed at +160, while Oregon is at +150 to win the BCS title.

Kansas has been one of the surprise teams in college football this season, currently sitting No. 3 in the BCS standings and listed as a massive 26?-point favorite in their matchup against Iowa State this week, but they aren?t the chalk to take the Big 12 conference championship.

SPORTSBETTING.COM has the Jayhawks listed at +300 to win the Big 12 and they have the Oklahoma Sooners listed as the -200 favorite to take the crown.

The Sooners are gearing up for a matchup against Texas Tech in Lubbock where they are listed at -8.

It?s common to hear analysts saying that the SEC is one of the best conferences and that its teams are always beating up on one another.

Currently an SEC team, Louisiana State University, is No. 1 atop the BCS standings and with remaining matchups against Ole Miss and Arkansas, the Tigers should be en route to a berth in the BCS championship game.

LSU was ranked No. 1 earlier this season, but tumbled in the standings after a loss to Kentucky. We don?t see head coach Les Miles allowing history to repeat itself.

In this week?s game against Mississippi, LSU is listed as a 19?-point favorite. Early betting action also has the Tigers as a big favorite, as 80% of the volume is looking for them to cover the number.
As you might imagine, SPORTSBETTING.COM has the Tigers as the odds-on favorite to take the SEC title, listing them at -300.

Staying in the SEC, the Georgia Bulldogs are currently the No. 9 team in the BCS and are gearing up for a game against the Kentucky this weekend as a 7?-point favorite. The betting action on this matchup has been fairly evenly matched, with Bulldog money accounting for 55% of the total volume and Kentucky backers are hanging in their at 45%.

The Bulldogs are also listed at +400 for the SEC title and at +10000 to win the BCS title.

The ACC conference could have a taste of Virginia as SPORTSBETTING.COM is listing favorable odds for both Virginia and Virginia Tech in the ACC race.

Virginia Tech is listed at +150 to take the ACC championship. They are a 17-point favorite hosting Miami this week. V. Tech is getting 60% of the action in this tilt.

Virginia is listed at +400 to win the ACC championship.

The Cavs have the week off but are eagerly awaiting a game against the very same Virginia Tech Hokies the week after in a tilt that you can wager on right now, as it is amongst the list of NCAA Games of the Year. Virginia Tech has been pegged as a 2-point favorite in that matchup.

It?s a great time to be a college football bettor, as the Conference Championship games loom large and teams vie for the best possible bowl slot.

Enjoy all the weekend action. Stop by SPORTSBETTING.COM to check out the lines and great bonuses.
