Guys 18 conferences in 1 way shape or form have changed their format. I will list all 18 changes in this thread starting now:
1. America East is doing a 2 year experiment where all of tehir tourney games will be palyed at the higher seed
2. The American conference with the additions of ECU,Tulane and Tulsa will have all 11 schools in the tournament with the top 5 getting a 1st rd bye
3. With Syracuse self imposing a postseason ban the ACC tourney will feature the other 14 schools. the top 10 get byes the top 4 get double byes
4. The A-Sun conference got a rules clarification over the summer from the NCAA and with that transitioning school Northern Kentucky will play in the A-Sun Tournament. If N.Kentucky amkes it to the A-Sun title game their opponent will get the automatic berth to the NCAA tournament. So technically the Norse as they're called have nothing to lose in the tourney
5. With the addition of Davidson to the A-10 the top 10 will get a bye and the top 4 get a double bye
6. With the addition of Idaho the Big Sky is a 12 tm league. They decided to make the conference tourney an 8 team field where it had been 7
7. VMI left the Big South which left them with 11 schools. All 11 will be in the tourney with the top 5 getting byes
8. With Maryland and Rutgers in the Big 10 it brings the total to 14 schools. The top 10 will get a bye and the top 4 a double bye
9. CAA added Elon so its a 10 team league. The top 6 get byes
10. C-USA's membership is at 14 with 3 schools leaving and the addition of WKU. The Tournament moves to Birmingham this year. The top 12 get in the C-USA tourney. Southern Miss self imposed a postseason ban so only 1 other school likely FAU won't be in Birmingham. And the top 4 get byes
11. In the Horizon League Mlwaukee has an APR Ban so what happens is this. The bottom 4 will play in the 1st road. #5 hosts #8 #6 hosts #7. The 3 and 4 seeds get byes to the quarterfinals. The 1 and 2 sees byes to the semifinals
12. In the MEAC Florida A&M has an APR ban. 12 MEAC schools will be in the tourney the top 4 get byes
13. In the Mountain West san Jose State is ineligible with an APR ban. So the top 6 get 1st round byes in the MW tourney
14. In the So-Con they lost 4 schools and added 3 so its a 10 team league where the top 6 get byes
15. In the Southland conference Oral Roberts left so the conference has 13 members. 2 are in transition Abilene Christian and Incarnate Word. 3 have APR bans Lamar,C.Arkansas and Houston Baptist. Its always been an 8 team tourney but we know who those 8 will be:
S.F.Austin,S.H.State,Northwestern State, A&M Corpus Christi,McNeese State,Nicholls State,SE Louisiana and New Orleans
16. In the Summit with Oral Roberts rejoining the league its an 8 team event
17. In the WAC Idaho left so it'll be a 7 team event. new Mexico State is the #1 seed and gets a 1st rd bye
18. In the SWAC Alabama State and Southern have APR bans so its an 8 team field
