Conference Tourney Betting

By SPORTSBETTING.COM

Selection Sunday looms dead ahead and just beyond that bracket-fever sweeps the nation?but for the college basketball bettor, there is a smorgasbord of exciting wagering opportunities to be had over the next four days.

The ?big? conference tournament games started on Wednesday, and it will now be wall-to-wall college hoops from Thursday morning to Sunday night?and then from there until April 7th when the final champ is crowned.

Several of the conferences get going on Thursday. Let?s have a look at these conferences and the betting action on them.

ACC
North Carolina and Duke played a crucial game last weekend with the Tar Heels pulling off the mild upset, defeating the 1?-point favorite Blue Devils by a final count of 76-68 in Durham. It?s highly likely these two will meet again on Sunday.

Because of that recent win, UNC is the clear #1-seed heading into the ACC tournament, listed at -120 to take the conference tourney and +450 to win the NCAA title.

North Carolina is receiving 55% of the action bet on the ACC Championship, with Duke seeing 30% of the volume.

Big 12
Texas gets the nod as the #1-seed in the Big 12 Conference tournament, but SPORTSBETTING.COM and the bettors have tabbed Kansas as the favorite. The #2-seed Jayhawks are -150 to win it all this weekend, while the Longhorns are +250.

Bettors are lining up behind Kansas at a 51% clip, with Texas seeing 36% of the action in the Big 12.

Big Ten
Wisconsin is the clear favorite in the Big Ten, and bettors have lined up behind them, hitting the Badgers with 65% of all the volume wagered on the Big Ten championship.

SEC
Tennessee sat atop the entire nation only a short time ago, as they were ranked #1 after upsetting the Memphis Tigers a few weeks back. However, they followed that up by losing to Vanderbilt three days later and it was adios #1-ranking.

But the Vols did secure the top seed in the East side of the SEC tourney. They?re listed at +100 to take the tourney and +1200 to take the NCAA championship. Bettors are giving their action pretty evenly to the top three teams in this conference: Tennessee (27%), Kentucky (24%) and Mississippi State (21%). Arkansas and Vanderbilt are seeing action.

Enjoy all the b-ball and best of luck with your wagers.
