What amazing accomplishments by senior Lia Thomas of penn. Unfortunately, Miss Thomas competed on the men?s Penn swimming team for three years as Will Thomas before taking a year off and returning as Lia. If you want to become Lia, then knock yourself out. However, it is completely unfair to those biological females who she defeated. The bio ladies deserve better. I understand This situation is unfortunate for trans women. It?s not like it even occurs to me that Will became Lia simply to dominate swimming in their senior year. I?m sure it?s just a case of a man who identifies as a woman and did something about it. That?s great. Live free and happy, Lia. I feel like I understand the difficulty of not being able to compete as a trans woman, But I don?t feel that you can put .1% ahead of the 99.9%.
The latest trans rules in the NCAA are completely unacceptable And allow for trans women with 10 times the testosterone than biological women to compete. Unacceptable.
